Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #153: Condiments, anyone?

Thanks to Mavsy's team for scoring 7 goals in their second game yesterday. It gave us the tie break against that team so we play for third instead of fifth today. Our guys had a crap day yesterday with a tie and a loss and getting two guys tossed for our second game.

Kids are currently in the parade and having a blast!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #153: Condiments, anyone?

Well that was a disaster. Lost 11-2 in the final game of the tourney. To a team from Omaha. They were good, and big. We have some big kids but the Nebraska kids were bigger. I can't imagine how badly the the team wo we lost to yesterday is going to get smoked by the team who beat the Omaha kids. That team is in the wrong tourney...

Well, sent my tatt guy the design I want on my right inside forearm, that I hope to get in December when I'm in CO for a Gophers series. Gave him a brief history of it, why I'm getting it, etc. so he has something to base his ideas on. It'll be interesting to see his touches on the design:

Now, I just gotta talk with Sloe Gin and set up some flight times and then hopefully make an appt for the tatt.

Nice! This is what I'm thinking of for my next tattoo: http://psucincinnati.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/flying_pig.gif Hoping to get it done after the Twin Cities marathon!

I don't have any tattoos. But I have been seriously thinking about getting one. I would get the Captain America shield. Not sure about the size or where on my body it would go though............

FWIW while watching Olympic track and field I cracked up when the camera showed Tyson Gay. Love his bib. Gay. Hee Hee.

Scout around, do your research, ask any tatted friends/co-workers you know to find a good artist. Nothing worse than a bad tattoo. And prices vary greatly, depending on where you go/who the artist is. For example, this Denver guy is a friend's kid, and I saw quite a few tatts he did before I got one from him (and on the plus side, his hourly rate is really cheap compared to the other artist I used to go to).

I'm about to take my internet connection and beat it with a shovel.

In other news, I crossed over to the dark side and started a Facebook account. I have no idea where this is going.

Don't expect much. Dial me up if you want. You can probably find me by finding mutual friends, since I dunno if you can find me via search or not (name is Brent Hoven, two words, not one).

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #153: Condiments, anyone?

For starters I'm loading up a little bit on USCHO people I've met and gotten to know here. I have no idea what I'm going to do with this.

I'll give you a virtual pat on the back if you figure out who I am. And it really shouldn't be too hard. A whole bunch of us on here are already friends, so if you find 2 or 3 of us you should be able to follow the thread and find the rest.

Pretty much.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #153: Condiments, anyone?

Morning Lodge. Trying to get acclimated to night work for the second summer in a row, so I'm staying up late before I start tomorrow night.

Not happy about having to work nights, but at least it's employment. And hopefully for a lot longer than the last company.
