Got up early this morning and took the new sneaks out for a walk. Then walked up to Dunkin Donuts for coffee, had one of the gift cards with me (better than lugging cash). It was in the basket where all the unused gift cards are so I thought it was a full one. Turns out, there was only $1.58 left on it and my coffee was $2.02. I have the gift cards that I've used in my pocketbook so I have no idea how that one got in the unused pile. I told the kids at DDs that I had no cash so put the $1.52 back on the card and I'd leave the coffee. They told me I could take it. I felt bad but if a company the size of Dunkin' Donuts can't spot me .44, they shouldn't be around. I'll go back another time and tell them to keep change to even it out.

Today it's back to my brother's place, this time for my other niece's birthday party. Not till 4pm though, so I'm going to run to the supermarket then hit the pool for a couple of hours, cuz it's hot and humid.

That was nice of DD. Stuff like that just means that customers will give repeat business. Gonna be hot and humid here, too, and it's supposed to be like that all week.

And les: what is "suday?" ;)

It is a day that is lazy? I was in stupor from having breakfast where 3 lbs of bacon and 4 batches of Swedish pancakes were on the table.

Mmmm... Still no cable or Internet here and I am exhausted from the power outage plus doubleheader parties

A couple crazy kids got married. bbdl is whipped, JF moved to Pittsburgh. Scarlet's event, despite her worrying, will go on without a hitch.

Morning Lodge.

Just spent a few minutes outside MacGyvering the kids swing set. About 10 minutes into it and I was really making my own gravy. 84 degrees and 66% humidity.

Now I am going to head out for a bike ride and then a run. This will end up being very hot and sticky.

Old man winter I miss you.

Which hasn't happened in a while. The flying, I mean. But that changes in a couple of weeks. The flight to Disney with my nieces later in the month will most likely be full of whiny, cranky, crying babies.

Had a great weekend at the bf's grandparents' 60th anniversary & then camping out at Keystone (the most Northern tip of the UP). Man can his family drink. They seem to like me though!

Three pounds of bacon? Should have gone to your place; I'm out of bacon. *shudder*

It's still 86 degrees out, and humid. This week should be oh so fun. At least it's only a 4-dayer, and hopefully they are short days due to lack of business because of the holiday.
