Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #152: Next to get married?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #152: Next to get married?

FYI, duct tape can be used as an effective bandage. I somehow developed a hole on the bottom of my foot and needed something that would stay on. So I've used some new skin liquid bandage, let it dry, and then put duct tape around the foot because I needed something that would be sturdy enough to make it through a day in a shoe. It's worked so far.

You could also use Super Glue, as it is the original purpose of that product, or so I've been told (Snopes might be helpful on this one).

Welcome to every hiking expedition since the invention of duct tape. :D

Nah, duct tape works well as a bandage, and I understand that it has wart-removing ability too. Liquid bandage is just cool though.

I put duct tape on my right foot every time I skate because of a calcium growth on the back of my heel (Achilles' heel injury), just to keep it from blistering, but this is the first time I've used it on an open-ish sore.

Super Glue works, I've done that (intentionally and otherwise), but it cracks. There are special liquid bandage glues out there that are flexible though, and made without chemicals that become toxic in the bloodstream :p

Sting a bit?

It will. :o

Yeah, that stuff is pretty awesome. whenever I nick up a finger, I can just put a little dab of that stuff on it, and get to work without having to worry about wearing a glove or a finger clot. the stuff can even take a couple of hand washings, although it is suggested that you do reapply to layer it up a little.

Morning Lodge.

Warning to the boys club - Bunny's is an Edina hockey hang-out too. there may be cake eaters there. :p

And Jr's summer team is playing Mavsy's team again to open the tourney in Summerset in a few weeks. Same as up in St. Cloud. I sure hope the ice in Summerset is better this time. Jr's team played in Summerset in April and the ice was horrid. It wasn't hot out, but raining that weekend and the ice wouldn't set up after resurfacing and the skaters complained about how soft it was. Unless they fixed something I doubt it'll be better in August.

Good morning.

I don't know about a dive bar. I'm looking for something with a patio and some combination of ice cold beer and frozen tropical drinks.

Bunny's has a patio, but it is right by the street and filled with smokers from what I see. It is much more of a sports bar than a dive bar. Big screens and games always on from my few visits there.

Morning.

I don't think I've ever been to Bunny's, but I do know someone who works there.

In this state, I think all bar patios are filled with smokers. It's the only place they can be seated and allowed to smoke anymore.
