Morning all. Busy day today, lots of rain in the forecast so could be a short day of work at the Golf Course. Would be nice; heavy workload today school wise.

I'm just getting them at the bu will call table Saturday. No sense making a trip up comm ave..

Diva is gonna be there? Cool... A small woman 1/3 my size who will shame me by finishing dad boot while I sip :(

As I mentioned yesterday, when diva took the boot from MNS and finished the foot he strategically left, my jaw hit the floor in shame. At that point I realized I was an observer and not a participant! :D

Clearly, I made quite an impression. ;) :D Then I turned around and raced 10 miles the next morning. That next night, though... :o

I don't plan on being at the games in St. Paul, but I do plan on tailgating. I need to give Brent his awesome hat...and the cooler too.

Check your rep.

'Morning, kids. I'm officially going to my first midnight opening showing tonight. I'm setting the over/under at "teenage girls 'Diva chews out" at 5.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 146: Playoff Hockey Activities

What time does the tailgate start at?
This.

I am hoping it is early, since the games are early.

Also, I think I have to go to the airport Monday morning. I should just stay in St. Paul and not drive all the way back to my house on Sunday night after the game.

What time Monday? Maybe you can drive me. :)

why is it when you're going somewhere something just seems to elude you... trying to find a plain red t-shirt

My plane lands at 830a and I'm heading right over

Dang, son, that's early!

If you're hankering for a pre-gate breakfast, everybody says the Day by Day Cafe on West 7th is great. (I've never been; it's famous for the cheesy hashbrowns.) It's about five blocks from the tailgate sight, headed away from arena.

Good to know.

Ok, so that means you'll probably be down there at about 9:00. I was hoping to start tailgating by 8:00, but I don't think people will be there yet. I may just show up with a lawn chair and a 12 pack and get the party started on my own.

Pffft, Les, I'm not concerned about the TSA robocops. Just gotta make sure I give myself more time than usual before departures just in case. Usually I breeze through, only been secondary inspected once before, also during a string of weird travel.

If anyone wants a last minute place to stay, Lady's Lounge will be open. Maybe there will be storytime again. And BYOB (bring your own bacon).

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 146: Playoff Hockey Activities

We (coworker and I) were told that we needed to make a detour before going to the airport yesterday, to pick up some parts to take home with us. This added about an hour and a half to our drive to the airport. We ended up pulling into the rental car lot at Indianapolis Airport at 3:15, for a 3:45 flight. Yep, we both made it. :D

Interview this morning was really just informational. They don't have a position for me. :(

But my reputation proceeds me, I'm well known and they wanted to meet me - if they had a slot to fill I'd get it. :)

Another one this afternoon with a firm I really have no interest in working for.

Sounds like a great place to work, DAMMIT! :D

Last time I arrived 30 mins before a flight, AA wouldn't even let me check in. Had to get rebooked and arrived down in Houstown 6 hours later than originally scheduled.

Company just booked my flight home for next Tuesday. So in the next 3 weeks or so, I'll be going HOU-ATL-SYR, Plattsburgh-Ft Laud, TPA-BTV, then SYR to Baton Rouge or Jackson, MS most likely. Yeesh, that's a lot of flying.

I checked in with the Delta app about 5 hours before takeoff. But my coworker checked a bag and checked in about 20 minutes before takeoff.

My flights in the near future (past):
Week of 3/19 - MSP to IND, IND to MSP
Week of 3/26 - MSP to IND, IND to MSP
Week of 4/2 - MSP to MEM to LBB, LBB to MEM to MSP
Week of 4/9 - MSP to AMS to ARN to LLA
Week of 4/16 - LLA to ARN to AMS to MSP
Week of 4/23 - MSP to IND, IND to MSP

Who pays for all this travel? Is it part of your compensation package?

The company has a travel agency/division where they'll usually book the flights for those of us who need it. It isn't part of a compensation package directly, more of just an 'accepted benefit' for those who live far away. It's generally done by most shipping companies for the most part.

If they didn't cover the flight, I would get a straight $200 travel stipend, but that rarely covers a one way ticket for me anyways, let alone mileage to/from the airport up north. Since they cover the flight, I'll get the mileage reimbursement. Pretty solid deal.

Rack up them airline miles bbdl! Cripes, you might as well say you work part time for Delta too ;)
