Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 146: Playoff Hockey Activities

A little tense here today. :p To make things worse, I am convinced I got food poisoning from the calzone I had for lunch today when we went out with legal and Miss Wiggle. I am one miserable person at the moment.

Ummm... not so tense here now. :D
heh. Now you have s*h*itty outlook on life like tcbg? :p

My condolences, Hammer. Sorry I'm late with that. :(

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 146: Playoff Hockey Activities

So am I.

That sound of water running? That was us whizzing away a 3-0 first period lead to BOWLING GREEN!!!

This is why I always want the next goal. The only thing better than a goal is the next one.

It absolutely boggles my mind that we're still tied for 6th in the PWR. We ought to be about 50th after that debacle. This is the most screwed up way into the NCAA tournament bid I've seen yet.

I know. We sweep, and fall 3 places because Tech won and UNO lost.

I've got Ni Hao, Kai-Lan on mute on TV in the background somehow (I was going for Boomerang and missed), and it makes more sense than this weekend did.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 146: Playoff Hockey Activities

Booked my flight to Florida and the rental car. Go figure, I'm flying Spirit Air from Plattsburgh, NY to Fort Lauderdale nonstop on April 1st, departing at 1:30am, arriving at 5am. Flight was only $118 one way, rental car until April 11 is sitting at under 300 total (for now, I'll get hit with underage driver BS most likely). I'll catch a one way flight back up north with my Mom and Sister probably on the 11th, making total airfare less than $300. Solid win in my book. Trip will still run me well over 1k, but should be a fun one.

Yes, I realize that Ft. Lauderdale is 4 hours from Tampa, but I'll be stopping in Ft. Myers on my way north and visiting my Grandmother for an overnight, then head to Tampa on the 2nd. Gotta do my civic duty and visit her ;)

Final: Denver 3 Wisconsin 2 [OT]

Never a doubt. Had 'em all the way. Piece o'cake. MEDIC! MEDIC! GET IN HERE WITH THOSE DEFIB PADDLES! :D

A fitting end to tonight's overtime game was the goal by Luke Salazar. He's a senior. A local kid from Thornton, perhaps twenty minutes from Magness Arena. Nice touch that a local kid playing the last home game of his college career scores the game winning goal in O.T.

Joel Rumpel was most impressive in goal for Wisconsin all series. If the Badgers can consistently score three goals a game over the next few seasons Rumpel will backstop Wisconsin to many wins in the WCHA and the Big Ten.

Nice job by the Pioneers. And now it's on to the WCHA Final Five. Good job boys and good luck as the post-season continues.

This weekend may not have been the best choice of weekends for me to try a few recipes that call for Bourbon in them. Yikes!

time shift not fun. I have to wake up in 5.5 hours, and I'm not tired enough to sleep.
