Currently in a CODE RED situation here at work. Can't even begin to explain it. What is getting me stressed is the fact this is the second we've had one of these situations on a BU game day. The last time they LOST. I'm so flustered at the moment I'm thinking of not going because this vibe is not good for the team.

I will never become a handyman. (I think that I knew it.) I just spent an hour installing a new toilet seat, or should I say, I spent an hour removing the old one and about two minutes installing the new one. Damm bolts holding the seat onto the bowl had become glued together with G-d knows what over the last 15 or 20 years.

Well... Mom met with her oncologist today. The pathology came back, and it is actually stage IV adrenal cancer that spread to her kidney... It's super rare (one in a million), so now they're deciding the best place for her to go... Mayo v Houston v NY. My mom is really positive about it, and when she asked her doctor if she was going to die, his response was "Well, you might get hit by a bus, but no. You will not die from this."
Truth be told though, I'm scared. Beyond scared.

My mom IS awesome. And it helps even ME a lot when she's this positive about it. And her faith... it's astounding. Those two things, and all of the support she has, that's what will get her through this.

Good luck to her. I don't know the NY option, but certainly Mayo or MD Anderson are great facilities and programs for Oncology. If her oncologist is positive and your mom is positive, she has great odds.

I should find something to do tonight. Can't go to TK's because for some reason they have an Uncle Kracker show there tonight {puke}. So I'm up for anything, especially if it involves or has the potential to involve female nudity at some point.

I considered it, but I was leaning towards going to the fairgrounds to watch the 4AA and 5AA championships, and I may still do that. But that is not a good place to go for female nudity either, except for the kind that would get a guy 20 years.

I am weighing my options for tonight as well, but I don't have the money to hit a strip joint. Unless you had a different idea on achieving the female nudity.

edit: I've heard that Anoka is fun, but it makes me nervous drinking that close to the drunk tank

I don't want to go to a strip club, if at all possible. In fact, I think that can be ruled out. I just want to go out somewhere, somewhere different than normal, since my bar won't work tonight.
