Rep Retirement Lodge 145: are you giving up something for lent??

Most likely it's included because so few games have ended up in triple OT the way that game played out. As you know since you were there, BU had a big lead after one, then NMU stormed back to lead after 2, then the kitties had to score late in the third to knot the game at 7 and force all that bonus hockey.
To a neutral observer, a championship game like surely beats the hell out of watching MTU demolish BC 8-2 in 1965, or Lake State woodshed BU 9-1 in 1994.
Most likely it's included because so few games have ended up in triple OT the way that game played out. Anyone want to go with me to see the Gophers whip the Stinkin' BADgers tonight? Kid is sick again and staying home. Wife doesn't feel like going either.
In other news our pond is very weird right now. It had dropped by more than a foot, close to two feet in level last fall and the ice froze to the bottom. With the rain the other day, the runoff has flowed onto the top of the ice. I waded through about a foot of water on top of ice to go get the net and light pole off the ice last night. Runoff continued to flow onto the top of the ice and the level is up to almost where it normally is. But there is still a big chunk of ice under that water/slush. I expect sometime today it'll break loose of the bottom and float to the top.

The kitties had to score? Au contraire. BU had a 3-0 lead after the first. NMU scored 5 in the second. In the third, I believe NMU scored again to make it 6-3, BU scored to make it 6-4, NMU scored to make it 7-4, then BU scored three, including the game tying goal with, like, 39 seconds to go.
The only reason why I question its inclusion is haven't there been other OT national championship games? Hell, the BU-SLU regional final game went 4 OTs. Don't get me wrong, I think it's pretty cool they went to the way back machine, especially on ESPN, who seems to regard college hockey as some sort of wispy, not important at all sporting event. It's very cool it was included at all. And don't forget, overtimes were only 10 minutes back then.

I've been getting hives the last few days, which occasionally happens when I get stressed (**** you, work), so its not a big deal. But today I noticed that I have 1 bright red, perfectly circular, raised blotch right in the middle of the inside of each of my wrists. I should go freak out some very religious people.

Anyway, my complaining about work being stressful seems a little stupid...as I was just informed that my promotion went through and I'll be getting a 12% raise starting Monday.
(if you remember back a couple months, this is a result of staying with my current job, when I had the opportunity to take the other position in Green Bay)
