Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 144: (Lack of) Winter Wonderland

Morning, Lodge. Blah day already for me. Woke up very late, and there's been no sign of Twitch's and my friend from last night. That, and the gf is still ****ed about something I did yesterday, despite me thinking that she was feeling better. She's also stressed about getting a paper done.

Not my favorite day so far.

Absolutley.

I am still waiting on the broom Hoven.

Blame the plans changing on my friend who can't make it back from the left coast, who by the way is a Gopher fan.

For now, I am planning on being near the arena around 5PM. Planning on Campus Pizza but that could change. Not sure about post game. I will post my whereabouts in the Lodge.

I am open to meet and greet at the game.

s&ss will not be present.

Cool! We'll have to for sure meet up at the game at the very least.
What about Goldy_331 - you going to be in Section 23?

Count on it. I am in section 3.

Are you going to be wearing your Beaver gear?

Just heard from him - he's overwhelmed by the situation, but very much with us still. :)
That is good. I am not at work but this had my work brain whirring and my antennae at high alert. I guess because training says that you are obligated to intervene... why I don't know- I am not even remotely close to where you are.

****ing work. As of Tuesday I was going to Houghton to recruit engineers next week. Tuesday afternoon I'm told I absolutely am needed in Indiana for a very urgent alt. fuel startup at which some senator was going to be at, with final confirmation to come yesterday. I plan my trip to Indiana, put it on hold, and mu supervisor decides to take my spot in Houghton, so the team isn't hung out to dry. So far, so good. Yesterday afternoon I'm told that the startup is confirmed, book my trip, so I book it. Not even 2for hours later I get a call, startup is pushed back to Thursday, as opposed to Tuesday. I don't reschedule my trip, fully expecting what was coming next. This morning I get a message, startup pushed back to Monday. So now I'm back to going to Houghton. Still haven't rescheduled my Indiana trip, that can wait until tomorrow.

I heard from him as well.

I normally stay out of people's drama, but too many alarm bells went off in my head after that Facebook post. I won't share it, but it was textbook survivor guilt, right down to the line "it should have been me." As someone who works with vets where suicide is a HUGE issue, this is EXACTLY how one gets rolling. Hopefully we've nipped it in the bud.

I will be there with Mrs. goldy. Jr. has a practice that night. I asked Greyeagle, but he thinks he is going to the Friday game.

gmann should go early so he can get autographs form the members of the 2002 Nat'l Champ team. It's the closest he'll get to a DI champion in his lifetime. :p

My recommendation for meet and greet is at the Olympic display behind, I think, section 5 during first intermission. The end closer to 23 and 3 is too crowded with the pizza stand, ice cream, gyros, ATM, etc.

Talked to Twitch just now, and he had the same feeling at the back of his neck from his work at the hospital. Survivor's guilt, he thought. The guy also has been having a lot of trouble with his life, and this is the last thing he needs to be saddled with. :(

EDIT: What Twitch said. Neither one of us talk to him often, but he's a good friend regardless.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 144: (Lack of) Winter Wonderland

I have one extra ticket to the F5 for all the games, 2 for each of the games on Thursday and Friday afternoon.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 144: (Lack of) Winter Wonderland

I'm blaming Canada. That's where gmann lives, right?
Eh, I survived it, even with an inspection by the Canadian Border Police that didn't find nothing but handcuffs and other toys the girlfriend brought with her monday night. Went to the Dirty Show tuesday night. To put it simply, MNS would have Bricked, Twitch would have loved the Japanese bondage display, Scarlet would have liked the bar and the Commie would simply just love the angry sex art. and then managed to make it back across the border again to make it to work with plenty of time to spare yesterday for work.

Yeah, best to try to keep in regular touch with him right now, best to have somebody else calling him about every couple of hours, make sure he's not doing something.

Oh, and if somebody would be so kind to refill me......

You're dating a stripper?

Heh, I suppose I could use one of those too, from my foray into the Neg Rep thread. :o

Sounds like we have a plan. So far it appears Mrs. Gonzo will be with me, but she recently came down with the crud, so we'll see.
