Ho-hum, another bantam tourney, another championship trophy. This one was a grind. Five games in three days and some brutal play. Championship game had 18 penalties called - a lot for a bantam C game. Eleven on our team, still outshot them 27-21. Another Edina team won the B2 title right before our guys played.

Are we still talking about the EZAC? :D

Tell TStrand congrats!

I kinda feel bad for the easterners. Many of your schools in the conference are all RIGHT THERE, so "road trips" aren't really an option. For the westerners, it's usually a decent hike to another school.

MN-SCSU = about an hour
MN-MSUM = about 90 minutes

Those are the shortest. Other than that, you're looking at at least 2 hours drive time, or a flight.
Maine= 4 hrs away
BU = 1-2h depending on how horrific traffic into town is. That doesn't include attempting to park. Same goes for BU and BC.
The Mack- 30 mins, back road, takes longer to walk across the world from thier parking than it does to get there.
UVM= 3 hrs if you are a maniac, more likely 4 if you hit weather (I always seem to)
PC= 1.5-2 hrs traffic again.

I do not miss this. :p Congrats tho.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 143: A Golden ;) Oldie

Being biased, I'll only do MN.

SCSU and MSUM have been mentioned. tUMD= 2 hours. MTU = 6 hours. UND = 5 hours, depends on weather. BSU = 5 hours, DU/CC/UAA flight. WI = 5-6 hours (general rule, if you have MN plates, you don't speed in WI). UNO = 8 hours.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 143: A Golden ;) Oldie

UNO is not 8 hours. IIRC, Omaha is 400 miles, and the speed limit is 70 the entire way (save for the lower limit in Des Moines). So, it's more like 6 hours.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 143: A Golden ;) Oldie

Yeah, there is no way that it should take 8 hours to get to Omaha. It shouldn't take 6 hours to get to Madison, either, its only 270 miles. And **** Wisconsin and their 65 mph speed limits, its BS.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 143: A Golden ;) Oldie

It was six hours on the nose when I went to Madison earlier this season. We stopped for food in Eau Claire, though.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 143: A Golden ;) Oldie

Especially if you have Illinois plates. Dam FIBs.

Keep the cruise control at 72mph and you will be fine.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 143: A Golden ;) Oldie

Google Maps suck, though. They gave me wrong directions to YOUR place.
Yeah, but this isn't directions, it is just a simple calculation between distance, maximum speed giving you time. 270/65=4.15 So it really should just take 4 hours and 9 minutes and you don't have to go over the speed limit.
