Good Morning. Ugh. This is going to be a long day. I recon the blood will start flowing to my legs again here shortly.

Why did no one tell me that there was free beer on international flights?

Morning Lodge (still morning here). Went to a conference this morning but left early as it was getting long and not relevant to my work,

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 143: A Golden ;) Oldie

I made it to Glasgow, ended up getting the hotel about noon, then immediately crashed and took a 3 hour nap. I could have slept much longer but that would probably just mess up my sleep schedule more. Catching up on some emails then I'm meeting a coworker and we're going out to try the local cuisine.

I'm guessing he means the liquid cuisine

Afternoon, Lodge. My sleeping habits have become all sorts of messed up recently, and I don't like it at all.

I'll save that for the weekend. I'm here to work, afterall. I'm planning on doing a distillery tour on Saturday.

My favorite "fark over Twitch's sleeping habits" trick is to come home from work, lay down about 6:30, wake up about 9:30, then have enough energy to stay up until 2. It's not funny.

When I go to sleep at 6:30 pm, I just stay sleeping till the next morning. If I wake up, I go back to sleep.

Had dinner at what was described as a modern style Scottish restaurant. It was really tasty and the waiter was awesome. We had a haggis appetizer (I hope you're happy, les!), which was actually very good and I had rack of lamb with some kind of creamy cabbage and mashed sweet potatoes, all of that was also excellent. I tried a Scottish beer, which was very meh, it didn't have much of any taste, it was like Scottish Bud Light. But, on the other hand,I started asking the waiter about whisky and which he recommended for local, not US distributed stuff, and he gave me a glass of Lagavulin 16 on the house which was excellent. He also gave a recommendation for a distillery tour. All in all, a fine night to start the trip.

edit: as it turns out, it sounds like Lagavulin is available in the US, and actually I'm having a hard time finding any that aren't distributed to the US to some degree

Howdy kids. Busy day today and yesterday and won't stop tomorrow. I had a day yesterday. Not a bad day, or a good day. But enough drama that was diffused that I went out for a glass of wine last night to decompress with a couple of my Thursday drinking friends. It helped, as did chatting with hottie bartender. That always helps. :)

I can't believe tomorrow is Febraury 1st. I do like that it's 5:00pm and it's getting dark out, not already dark.

That's funny in the same way as raping a clown is f*ing funny.

I've just been staying up until 4 am or so, then waking up at noon and being entirely unmotivated to do anything until I get out of the house. By the time I do, most places I need to call are closed or closing for the day.

I was gonna say, I've seen Lagavulin, though I'm not sure on whether the 16 is readily available here. Probably not too many Scots-only whiskys, the biggest market is either in the US or Japan. Either way though, nice score!

I'm having sleeping issues - as in I can't stop sleeping. Bed at 10:30-11:30 and I stay in bed until 9:30-10:30, then move to the couch and laze around for awhile with no motivation to do anything. This isn't good since I have a huge exam on Thursday.... :(

Suffice it to say, I know how that goes too. :( Talk for a bit if you're online?

On a lighter note, I thought this article would "appeal" to les. :D
