Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 139: The Halloween Edition

Keep moving tape! :)

Question for Boston folk - if we head there in mid September we'd stay in town for a few days then either head to the Cape/Martha's Vineyard/Nantucket or up into Vermont/New Hampshire for a few days before flying home. Not having done either what should we do? I'm thinking the timing is kind of good, after labor day for the cape and before the fall peak for NH/VT.

I think heading up north sounds about right... not sure how far north though. There's usually maps for such things... probably find them on the 'net somewhere. The good thing is that you can probably choose a few candidate paths and just go as north as it takes to get pretty. New Hampshire and Vermont roads tend to have some nice valleys, mountains, and drop offs no matter what way you go.

Notsomuch. And I'll be in better shape coming up, since it's Ice Melt season! 50lb boxes that are 1'x1'x1.5' in dimension. 99% of the time, they must be handloaded from the shelf to the pallet that one uses for the order (40 per pallet, most orders are for 5-6 at a time). I think the most I've done of just those in a day is around 150-200.

Edit: I see they also have a pic of our bartender (our main one, anyways).
Bah, those boxes of ice melt salt probably isn't much heavier than a haybale I would wager. A little practice to get used to the boxes and I could move em just as fast as you hoven.

Plus, you're not factoring in the strain of squeezing those nerf balls while in a pushup position for an hour. Your forearms are going to be totally barking if you even last the hour.

Density is the key. I'd rather toss 100lb mini-fridges than boxes of ice melt. Just saying that bbdl was correct. I'm the wrong guy to compare to. :p

I'll give a point to bigmrg with haybales. Throwing 1000 bales > Brent's icemelt > nerf fooball squeezing > Tebow

(80 lb bales, usually 90+ degrees, and often stacking them several feet above your head)

I've tossed haybales before. My aunt/uncle (now just aunt, pretty much) boards horses in Rochester. And might I remind you, I have no A/C in the warehouse. A concrete building that doesn't breathe.

You don't have to stack icemelt when its hot out. BOX! :p

Wait, which ones are your favorites? You obviously know my favorite, I think I know brent's...and MNS's. Shirtless's, not so much.

I thought he was referring to our main as his fave. Dirty Julie Hagerty, I've only seen 2-3 times. After that, it's our main. The other blonde that served most of us later on Sat is awesome and all, but she's not too bright, I don't think. A little ditzy/spacey. That takes her out of my top 3. MNS' fave is prob 3rd.

We can probably use their names, since they're only first names, and its not like they post. :p

True. Although I don't know Dirty Julie Hagerty's name, since I haven't seen her more than once or twice. :(

Hannah does rule, though.

I've only seen her a couple times too, and not in a while. You might be out of luck seeing that one again. And yeah, I have to go with Hannah, her interactions with us are what really makes her awesome. "I think I figured out why you always get so drunk! I mix them 50-50 for you!" I also like Christina, Jess, and the only one whose name I don't know, and they're followed by Tasha, Maggie and Alexandra. Wow, I go to that bar too much.

I think I like Jess more than Christina. Tasha is cool, I suppose. Dunno the last two you mentioned. Not by name, anyway.

Tasha used to never talk to me, she just ignored me, because she though Hannah would get mad. I talked to her a bit last time, and got some drinks from her, she's cool. Maggie is the dark haired one with librarian glasses, and Alexandra is the blonde that you think is stupid.
