Still idiotic that they only take cash or Brent forms of payment, though.

I waited 90 minutes last month at a Michigan Secretary of State office to get a copy of my truck title (which took under 2 minutes. My mother timed it just out of curiosity). To put it in perspective, it took me an hour to get through to take my MN drivers licensing test, and that included running across the street to find an ATM to get cash to pay for the darned thing AND taking the test.

So the state got back to me. I do have a cashiers check for $100 exactly that I can claim. But I have to go through the hoops of a claim form to get it. Ugh.

Careful with that. I've heard stories of people claiming those, then the state discovering "oopsies, turns out you may or may not owe us $1700 from that year, and that last transaction just happened to reset that pesky statute of limitations, so pay up."

Speaking of getting free money...when I bought my house I knew that the septic system needed to be replaced, so as part of my offer I requested that $15k get set aside from the seller in an escrow to cover the costs of replacing the septic. They accepted and I got an escrow with $15k. We went with $15k because the estimate that the seller got was something like $14.5k to replace the system, but when I had a guy come out to do the design work, he said that if I put it off to the side of the house, instead of in the swampy backyard I wouldn't need a mound system. Apparently the seller's guy couldn't figure that out. So I ended up paying $6,500 for the whole thing, including them taking down 5 dead oak trees hanging over my house. Now I have $8,500 left that I can use for some landscaping around where the new septic is, and the rest is going to get paid towards my principle. Sweet.

Remember how I needed to get working on applications for subbing? Well I did all that work and now I am in at two districts (background checks pending, oh no my traffic tickets! And some online training) and one more district where I need to attend an orientation.

I could have if I didn't put the wrong school district on my letter of interest and resume for MPS...:mad::rolleyes::o



Or I can just sub at Cooper and it will be close to the same thing :p

Ugh. I hate FB.
Bf made a joke on a status of mine saying something along the lines of "where's my beer, *****?" because my race team nickname was ppbb (pencil pushing beer *****).
Aunt that lives in NYC sees, freaks out, tells me I deserve to be treated better. I block her from seeing most things on my FB, and tell her I'm being treated just fine. She proceeds to delete me from FB, and inform the rest of my family that's never met him that I'm making terrible decisions, am being treated poorly, and am disrespecting her.

Well you usually do make terrible decisions, so that is probably a good assumption.

Well... Does any techie remember when two guys got arrested for taking multiple tons of copper out of the smelter area or something like that a few years back?
