Landed, checked in. No luggage. Was supposed to have arrived at 2:35 on American and they have to get it to JetBlue who is supposed to call. Which they have not. I may just head there cuz I think we'll get it faster.

I bet you could have bounced a quarter off your...........................patella. :)

gmann - per your rep. We found out our daughter had hearing loss (minor) after 1st grade. It's become a little worse over the years then last year both ears went to ~50% then all the sudden this year she's almost completely deaf in her left year. :(

The good news is her ENT thinks she's a good candidate for a cochlear implant and we will find out in October.

Fantastic. I've always thought that any technology to restore one of the sense is fascinating.

Got the lawn mowed and now I'm ready for some pollos. ;)

The new septic system is supposed to go in this week, which will be good. After that I can start to get the lawn into better shape.

THe guy that runs the Youth Group at our church has an implant. It is amazing and so is he. You can't tell he has it (they did some new procedure) and his hearing seems perfect. He even sings in tune.

Awesome to hear the good medical news, the found luggage, and such!

I'm also ready for some pollos.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Wait...what the hell did I miss this weekend?

I was too busy introducing the girl I've been dating to my family and meeting my 6 day old niece for the first time.

MNS was told that there was "another Sioux fan" at the wedding. He happened to know exactly who it was, and we convinced him to talk to her. There was no boinking.

But you actually convinced him to talk for once? Impressive!

It really is amazing. Hopefully mother mining's insurance is receptive. Maggie felt sorry for herself for about five minutes and realized she still has her right ear, there are options, and she is otherwise very health. We asked if the UM was our best option or should we look around. I guess after the implant there is a several month process of "tuning" the implant and we are fortunate to have a world class medical center & school literally blocks away.

I wonder if there is an implant that will allow me to sing on tune......will have to pass this tidbit along to Maggie.

The Nat Geo special on Katrina (just ending) is really amazing. So many failures at so many levels.....wow.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

I've spent 30+ hours in an airplane with her. He's greatly overstating the influence that he or anyone else had over anything that happened.

Other than that I have no comment on the matter.

Fact 1: you didn't want to talk to her in "that way"
Fact 2: we convinced you to at least go say hi, and maybe try something more
Fact 3: you don't do that sort of thing, normally

So, without us bugging you until you satisfied our demands, I doubt you approaching her would have happened. :p

Box.

None of those are facts.

Yeah they are. I'm not saying you didn't necessarily WANT to do those things, but you weren't going to without some prodding. That's all. And you still didn't HAVE to. But you did. Credit to you; I won't deny that. Until we bugged you, which was much later in the night, you had zero intention of doing anything. And don't try and convince us of having a plan. We know better. ;) :D
