Haha, something like that.
Actually, it went quite well. Basically, they admitted that between all the chaos going on at the store, the two owners being stupidly busy, and the two outgoing managers I'm singlehandedly replacing being, well, bit
ches who flat out refused to show me anything unless threatened, I didn't get trained nearly as well as they would have liked and yet somehow I'm managing to do most of the things they want me to be doing in this role quite well. I was officially promoted to the assistant manager and director of marketing and sponsorships, put on salary and given benefits (retirement, health insurance, and paid time off FTW!), congratulated, and promised to be taken through the things I wasn't shown ASAP. I'd be running wild through the streets of Duluth with a BAC of .OMG right now if I didn't have to meet up with their financial planner guy at 9am to square away my retirement stuff.
The health insurance part of it has me the most excited. I haven't had it since I was 21, and FM is staying on his parents for as long as he can so I wouldn't have been able to get on his once we got married. I can finally, you know, go to the doctor if I need to!
