Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Morning Lodge

Morning, well for everybody else it is I suppose. Been up since 3pm yesterday covering for another guy who went to a wake and then up all night loading barge 1. Chomping down a ham, cheese and bacon wrap and then off to load barge 2. Eta for sleep? At the earliest probably 1pm, but probably closer to 2 or 3.

hp wins. I won't complain this morning. ;)

Heh, ehhh it isn't so bad once I get out and start doing stuff. We're waiting on the inspector to do his thangggg so it sucks right now.

It's only supposed to get to triple digits today with a feels like around a buck ten, so it will probably be pushing 120 on the barge. Yay for losing a bunch of water weight today!! (Yes, I'll be sucking down water the entire time to replenish;) )

One of the things I lament about having a desk job is that I don't get the natural exercise that I once did when I was delivering furniture. Much easier to stay in shape when its a by product of your job. Because I hate forcing myself to excercise.

Do something that doesn't really feel like exercise - i.e. biking. With all the paths Minneapolis has, there's really no reason not to do it.

You need to find excersie that you think is fun. Play hockey, for instance. I'd love to do that, but my old, broken down body prohibits it.:(

Morning, and yay for a day off. Have to head to Target, Best Buy, maybe Bed Bath And Beyond, but I don't know if I'll have enough time.

While running errands, could you make a stop for me? I need to get to Grainger's in Plymouth for a v-belt for our recumbant bike, but their retail hours suck. Thanks a bunch! ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

This weekend I learned how to make a hangover worse. Food poisoning!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Not this time ;)

It was either reheated burger from Psycho Suzies or a burger from Wagner's Drive In
My guess would be burger you reheated there. either way, lovely.

Sitting here at work being bored. Here all day, and at the moment, there's a grand total of 12 appointments booked today, and only 2 of them are for me.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Step 1: buy bookcase
Step 2: put bookcase together
Step 3: put books/dvds into said bookcase
Step 4: realize halfway through Step 3 that 2 side sections of said bookcase were put together backwards
Step 5: unleash massive amounts of profane words
Step 6: take apart bookcase, go back to Step 2

Ian't there something about a box that is missing?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

and reading instructions? ;) :D

The little holes where the shelf support pegs go are on the outside of two of the sides, instead of inside. That's my bad. The instructions suck, though, because if you follow them, you can't put the bookcase together correctly anyway. The base of the bookcase sticks out/has a lip. According to the instructions, the front of the bookcase should be face down when putting it together.

However, that leaves it unlevel, which makes screwing the shelves together very difficult. So you have to improvise a little and ignore some of the instructions.
