Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

As you are up all night isn't that late for you:D

Not last night.

What it took to move my brother/family, from his 1BR+den single level house (yes, house, not trailer/etc):
1 3-horse trailer (a little smaller than the biggest U-Haul)
2 Snowmobile trailers
4 SUVS with the seats out

For the locals, he moved from about 5-6 miles north of St Michael to outside of Zimmerman: a place called Lavonia Township, which has a fire dept and that's it. About 40 miles north of where I live. He seriously upgraded his house, though:

4BR/3BA, 2 story (plus basement), 2 level shed/clubhouse, 3 car garage, 6 (6!) car detached garage (with separate/private driveway), 4 acres. Main garage is fully insulated/wired, and already has a TV installed sportsbar-style from the ceiling. And he has two fireplaces, too.

I couldn't even imagine what a house/property like that would cost in goldy's neighborhood.

We needed a 25 foot fifth wheel cattle trailer and another pickup just to haul all of my **** home from Houghton.

I'd have to move to West Virginia for something like that  (WVa isn't as far from here as one may think... some do commute.)

4 acres is pretty small. Yes, bigger than my lot, but I'm still used to the 5000 acres at home.

And also, party bus tonight!

I made myself look like an idiot... I agrued with the cashier over the price of oranges and I was wrong.... what is everybody paying for oranges? I couldn't actually believe the price was $1.50/ea. and not $1.50/lb. I know at the work caf they're $1/ea. and I figure they're making a profit. Of course, as I say this, i check the online store (Peapod) and its $0.89/ea. Bah

Omg. Bonfire cooked grilled cheese with American and Swiss and famous dave seasoning... I'm in heaven.*

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Blech. My schedule is all effed up now, since I woke up early yesterday and was tired enough to crash out before 1am last night. This sucks.

Morning Lodge.

Driving the kid to hockey camp today. He's spending a week with Doug Woog at Breezy Point. Lots of Gopher and ex-Gopher players for counselors and teachers. I trust he'll gain arrogance he hasn't already acquired from being in the Edina Hockey Association for 7 years.
