Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

In this weather, remember those that are less fortunate and without a/c... Like me. :(

Haven't had a good night of sleep all week.
Thank God it's Friday!
Up to the in-law's for the weekend after work - a/c and a pool await.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Good Morning Lodge!

The A/C STILL hasn't shut off and I have it on Energy Saver (it usually does under this mode). It's THAT hot out.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

in 2 hours I find out whether or not my project failed... no pressure

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

This.

Howdy Lodge. Home today, waiting for a service call for my heat/AC unit. It's working fine, I made this appointment not knowing it would be the hottest day of the year. So, what happens? I just get a call telling me they have to cancel re-schedule because they need to focus on emergencies today. Which I totally get, but tell me yesterday. And I told her it would really help if I didn't have to call three times to get a call back to schedule an appointment. I am also taking next Friday off but was planning to go to the Cape.

So, now my morning is free. Maybe I'll head to the pool!!

Good Morning Lodge.

Nice reprieve yesterday but the humidity is building again here.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

'Morning, kids! It seems the heat has moved out, and we're left with what will be the perfect summer day! And, as today is my Saturday, I do believe I will find a spot on the beach and spend the day there. I can make a spot on the blanket for anyone who wants to join me. :)

For everyone in the lodge that doesn't work today and lives in Duluth. :p

If I was single and had the time, I'd seriously consider it. If I was JF, I might just drive up since he's single and off today. Of course he doesn't own a car, so that'd be a problem...

ETA: I think we'll miss the Aquatenial Fireworks this year. :( It's an annual tradition - we go with our neighbors and set up on the Stone Arch Bridge. This year, it looks like rain and there is a reasonable chance we'll have to get up kind of early Sunday for jr's soccer match in the State Tourney. Also some friends are having movie night in their back yard tonight and we may miss that as it may get rained out too. :(

In other news I hate IE and will go load Firefox on this work computer right after this post as I want spellcheck and banner/pop-up blacker back.

'diva is great company, but Duluth is too far to drive to sit on a beach for an afternoon, even for a single guy.

Put my brand new steam cleaner together, time to test it out on my used to be white carpets.

Plus, what if Diva secretly hates me? :p

There are buses. Just sayin'.
We have IE at work, and I am about thisclose to putting my fist through the monitor most days.

Aw, shucks. :)

Nah.

Odds are, I'll probably end up out there by myself, even though FM is done at noon today. Typical Techie, afraid of sunlight I think, and I don't think there's WiFi out on Park Point either.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Good Morning, Lodge!

I have an instinct that management is going through my desk looking for files on how to properly screen print. Some of my files were missplaced this morning and I know I didn't go through them yesterday. Is it really that hard to ask me? Like they would understand what my notes say because is it writen in graphic design and printing lingo.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Just drove through (stopping in the middle, of course) my first lock while on the boat. Went reallly well, and I'll be doing it tonight as well. Wheeeeeeee.

Enjoy the beach 'diva, I'll say I miss the sights of Duloot in the summer from a couple years ago.

Already above 90 down here at 10am when we were in the lock, atleast I'm not in RalphPa or Patman's land where the heat index is supposed to be around 120. Stay cool, guys.
