If he's got gallons of whiskey, he doesn't need a ride to the liquor store. Might be the other way around.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

You need a ride to the liquor store about as much as Richard Simmons needs a ride to the whorehouse.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Ooh, I have 3 half bottles of makers that need to be none of a bottle. Two are of the 46 variety.

Ok, I may join you tomorrow.

Actually, now that this whole college hockey thing is starting to set in, it will all depend on work tomorrow. If it's like today, doubtful. If it's like Tue or Wed, then it's a game-time decision leaning towards probable.

Edit: and I also should have bought more Widow Maker. I know I was leaning towards 2 sixers, but I shouldn't have let the "I had so much Widow Maker this weekend already" be a factor. :(

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

I've got a case of silver bullets on ice for tomorrow. The mountains are as blue as possible. **** college hockey. **** the B1G. No offense to anyone, but I'm not looking forward to having UMD, UND, CC, DU, UMN, UNO and UW replaced by NMU, LSSU, BGSU, etc. And I thought season ticket prices were too high they way it is. **** this.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Eh, my team got rid of Hill, so I can't be too unhappy about anything right now. :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

It's starting to sink in more for me. Tech just committed literally millions of dollars to a new coach and a new direction for the program, and now the bottom is going to fall out of their income stream. I still have my stripes in my closet. Some of the fondest memories of the prime years of my life were made wearing those. And now it's all going to go away.

And knowing I'd have the Seawolves in my backyard is a big part of the reason I made the move to Anchorage. For anyone who missed what they did this year, they rode a team full of youth to a very respectable season and knocked off one of the B1G Mistake's golden boys to reach the Final Five. They were on the rise just as Tech was.

I'm going to break something expensive. And soon.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!! friday. is it night yet?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Morning!

I am drinking tonight, but not because my hockey team is folding. I am used to that after the last few seasons.

I think I have only ever eaten at Manny's twice. I had the best cut of meat I have ever eaten while I was in Vegas. 8oz Filet Mignon, reasonably priced at $39. The garlic mash side was just so-so.

Good morning lodge. Though this morning isn't good, in fact it is just as ****ty as last night.

I think I might end up just drinking at home or in my buddy's shop. If I go out, and happen to see any Sioux, Gophers or Badgers logos I'm likely to start throwing punches.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Also, can I get some refill. I'm sick of seeing rep from some ******* Sioux fan (I know, redundant) for being ****ed that they killed off my team.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Yawn. morning. slept in my car back at my (old) college after drinking until 2am. definitely finding a hotel for tonight though in case I drive to Maine early tomorrow or after the Yankees game at 1pm if Jeter doesn't get 2 hits tonight.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Good *ing morning, lodge. I'm still mad enough that a large fire to burn stuff would be very satisfying, unfortunately I'm four hours away from the bonfire pit at the family cabin. It's probably a good thing, since at this moment I'm sure I'd waste several gallons of gasoline and find a way to put the entire property at risk.

I'm skipping the appetizer and going right for that New York Steak Sandwich, maybe with a Key Lime Pie for dessert.

I was thinking that it would be hard for me to pass up a shot at carpaccio, especially if I just eat dessert at home like I was raised.
