It's amazing how complicated I can make any change to my computer set up. :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Good morning Lodge! Just woke up about a half hour ago. So so tired. What a long day yesterday. But a great one. I love the 4th of July and the fact that I have a small part in planning one of the biggest celebrations in the country is pretty cool. The big boss of our department was there last night and thanked me for doing a great job on it this year. I hope that means I get to run this again next year, even when my co-worker comes back from maternity leave.

Now what to do on my day off? I think I'm going to sit by the pool. It's hot and humid today. Red Sox game tonight too!

Congrats Scarlet! Hope you get appropriate recognition for what you did.

I may, or may not, get to drive to Iowa tonight for a meeting in the morning on the project I was last woking on for my old firm. I need to get an agreement in place before I go though. Right now my rate is about 30% higher than what they offered. I've been buggin my old CEO for about three weeks to get something in place and now it's crunch time....

If you don't work there anymore, why are you concerned? If they pay you the higher rate great, if not then they are just hurting their clients, not you.

Two main reasons, I'd like to have more work as I need to get more billable, and second the client is a friend of mine. I want the project to be a good one for him and his organization.

Also, I started the job and I'd like to be involved in the finish of it.

Word on the street is I give bj's for cheeseburgers.

I LOVE realistic rumors.
Eh, but at least it's not crack!!! Morning all! Stopped at burger king here just in time for them to be closing out the breakfast menu today. They upgraded my hashbrowns to a large and free cinni- minis!

This right here illustrates the differences between some of the Lodgers. :D

Morning, Lodge. Slept in until about 10 minutes ago. And of course, I wasn't out of my room for more than 3 seconds before my dad asked me to help him haul some trash to the transfer station. Dammit, I need to get myself fully moved down to the apartment.

I might've been just a little concerned about how long those had been sitting around.

Moot point, they agreed to the higher rate. Off to Iowa this afternoon.

The comments section on CNN is pure gold. Americans are watching waaaay too much Nancy Grace.

Hello lodge. Its been a while.

My forehead is falling off and not like normal peeling, this is coming off in really thick chunks of dead skin. It started yesterday. Damm sunburn.

Houghton was fun. I managed to behave myself very well, considering the situation. :p

Good defense lawyers? or bad prosecuters? or she really is not guilty
I have no idea if she is guilty or not but her lawyers bring up a good point. She was guilty from day 1 in the media. Much like the Duke Lacrosse players were in their case.

It's unfortunate that we allow the media to control what we think so easily.

Hello lodge. Its been a while.
While in Vegas I went to your kind of bar (cowboy/country). It's called Gilley's. You might of went there last time you were there for all I know.

Sunday night was bikini bullriding, and the waitresses (no, not servers or wait staff) didn't wear much either. Good times! :D

2 more things:

Casey Anthony: I think the only reason she is innocent is because her lawyers showed that her parents are just as skeevy as Casey is, and there is really no way to know which scumbag is actually the guilty party. So yeah, reasonable doubt it is.

CTC: your memory is dim from Saturday night? Can't say I'm surprised. Does this mean you don't remember getting very mad at me at about midnight? :D
