Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Ended up having 5 or 6 redbull/vodkas. Got rewarded with middle seat between two ladies, one relatively attractive, one not. Both older. Hopefully I'll sleep from Atl to Syr

Evening, Lodge. Well, I cleaned out my personal stuff from my locker at work, in case the shutdown a) happens and b) happens for longer than a couple of days.

On the plus side, I got my paycheck, and I have all of tomorrow night to get reacquainted with Houghton's finest establishments. :D

Evening, Lodge.

Just used my KitchenAid to start a loaf of Brioche; the dough is now in the fridge and proofing overnight.

If the shutdown happens, even money somebody pulls a Clark Griswold and breaks into a state park for the 4th.

I'm sure it will be resolved in short order. We Michiganders have a lot of experience with threats of a state gubmint shutdown. ;)

I found it comical Ralph was the only one to select the 'Go for a bike ride' option.:p

Doing better today... i was able to leverage an extension on project time from one of our higher ups out of one of the middle managers involved. I was also able (w/ the help of the higher up and a phone call to one of our technical research staff) to get a meeting into really honing in the technical stuff that remain. I think I'll make it to the end.

So, you know how my tagline is Opposite Girl? You have NO IDEA how epically awesome that went into effect tonight. I can't even share it with you all, it's that major.

In my home area code, now just need to tear up 160 miles of asphalt and I can get some much needed rest.
