Just returned from dropping the lad off at St. John's, very quiet in the house.

Going on 12 h without power. Still blowing like mad but no rain. Got a call from natl grid saying it may be days. The people next door were told 2am. He is one cool dude. Has a humvee with a generator on its trailer. He got it cos it could do 3 houses. Right now he is running it and we have our fridge, freezer and a light running. Eternally grateful!
You do realize you're going to have to make that man some cookies, a pie, or even bacon once everything returns to normal back there right??

How about bacon cookies?

Good morning, Lodge. Up early so I can clean and make lots of cookies. Homemade Oreos, molasses spice, bacon chocolate, and white chocolate chip are all coming up...

Morning!

Just an update, I still have power at my place. :D On a serious note, I'm glad you easterners have made it through!

Sad to report that this last weekend was my last summer 3-day weekend. :( On a happier note, this coming weekend I have a 4-days off. :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Good morning lodge. Short week! I'm taking some vacation days Thursday and Friday, since I have some extra to use up and a 5 day weekend sounds excellent right now.

Brent/MNS: what the hell did I do Saturday night? I got to work and I had a voicemail from some girl saying that she found my business card in her bra, and that I should call her back, but she didn't leave her number.

Not sure I would be handing out my work phone number at the bar.

I have no clue. You musta did something while MNS and I were having a cig. Although this could explain the glitter on your face.

(262) Might just stay in and drink cuz of the hurricane. Yea I think Wisconsin might be safe but its a good reason to drink.
