So am I, but after the first week of Skills 1, I can hand-cut my own French fries. Next week, we learn about dry heating techniques and I'll be bringing home a lot of food.

Evening, Lodge.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Flying from New Orleans-Atlanta-Syracuse tomorrow night, arriving just before midnight, then driving 3 hours home. Good news? I have 5 hours or so before I fly (drinking time, first time in a month). Bad news? I won't be home until around 3am and my sleep schedule will be ****ed up something good since I'll be driving home with my mom. However, the best day on a boat is the day you go home!!!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Home again. I got all of my work done in Grand Forks in 24 hours and headed home right away. Very productive and successful trip. Now I just have one day of work, and then a night at TK's followed by Houghton.

you're going to tk's tomorrow night?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Home again. Went into the office about 4pm because I wanted to bring in my laptop and a few of the awards so I wouldn't have to schlep everything in the morning. Wound up doing some work while there. Cross your fingers that the weather holds over the 4th.

I went to Five Guys for lunch. It was delicious but rather pricey. And waaaaaaaaaay too many fries. Tasty, but I barely made a dent.

Hmmm... you couldn't wait to get on a boat. Now, after your first trip, you can't wait to get off the boat?

Don't get me wrong, I love being out here, but the sitting around gets boring quick. In 2 weeks I will have only been moving for 5 days.

Besides, I have a car that wants to be driven and shown some love, ha.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

ugh... another 10 hour day... i know that isn't long for most...i won't work later than that for safety issues (SE DC and all that entails)... i'm to the point where i know that my method will beat the minimum improvement thresholds (very very good) but i won't be able to hit my own quality standards...moreover, I'm not sure it can be replicated within the time given.... so I envision that failure is a distinct possibility despite that I know that i'm getting a substantial improvement. (the issue here is monte carlo methods with tons of estimates and data flying around... data storage... time... etc.)

I've worked too hard on this... and the method is way too good not to fail... six months for nothing... a year and a half with zero significant accomplishments. I hope it works out... I don't think I will.

Pfft. How long does is take you to throw some clothes and booze in the jeep? :p

Got my oil changed today, did laundry tonight, still have to pack and get cashmoney tomorrow. My apt complex has rules on when you can run diswasher/washer-dryer (noise factor; stupid, but whatever) and due to late work times, I couldn't do it before tonight. There's some other little things in there that I need to get done by Fri morning so it's basically get up and go.

About that: I'm out at 6:30 FOR SURE, but given tomorrow's temps, I will be required (no ifs, ands, or buts about it) to clean up (and pack) before anything else. So is OC still on? And I'm NOT closing down TK's. Not if we're making Forest Lake by 9am.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Speaking of which, got kind of a fun one here for myself. Where I'm working at now, Balance Massage Therapy, they tend to run little giveaways on Facebook, where you basically have to give them an answer to a question. Currently, the question is how many hay bales will I end up putting up in the barn this year for our horses. Currently, all of the answers are all pretty lowball ones. Most of them could easily tack on another 0 and they would be a lot closer. As things stand now, about another 4 wagons will do it for us this year, and that hay should have been cut yesterday around noon. If things go according to plan, I should have the last bale up sometime Thursday, Friday at the latest. :D
Well, finally got one of them cracking four digits now. Still all way too low yet. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Balance-Massage-Therapy/97985435675

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

I don't think I've ever been this stressed out at 12:30 at night unless there's a t-storm or an international crisis. Work is doing a real number on me... after this I'm just done... I'll still work, don't get me wrong... but this in terms of my life is just all wrong... not the way its supposed to be.
