Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

It started on the weekend, today is the first USA match.
Ahh. Too bad they aren't good enough to win this year. :( Germany and Brazil are clearly better than them. Heck even England just beat them in a friendly for the first time ever.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Morning. We're sitting on the bank in the Port Allen/Morgan City channel route (look it up on google maps or something, it's pretttttty narrow.) for the next day or so probably due to traffic. Who knows where I'll be getting off the boat, but it won't be Houston for sure. Probably somewhere a little west from here.

Sorry about your loss, ctf. Stay strong, thoughts headed North.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Good Morning, Lodge!

Sorry, ctf. :(

Having wonderful computer issues today at work. Internet is down and the server is down. So, I am getting paid to sit around. Nothing wrong with that.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Sorry ctf. :(

Back from our mini-baseball tour, lot of fun at The Cell & Wrigley. The only downside was getting pulled over near Menomonie late last night (~73-74 in a 65)......but I got a warning.

The joys of out of state plates in WI (I don't care that the offical response is "thats not how we do things")

Sorry ctf. :(

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Thanks, everyone. I truly appreciate it.
Things just got a little harder...
Apparently she stepped out in front of a semi on I-35 in MN. I just don't get it. Never will.

There's nothing to get.

Some people are simply broken, and there's nothing you can do to save them from themselves.

Their were things going on in her life that you didn't know about. Each of us have personal demons that we are fighting. Sometimes they are public, more often they are private and if left unchecked they can consume even the best among us.

They leave in the morning; leaving no warning, sometimes they spell it all out.
They leave in the evening; no one believing that this could have come about.
They dwell on the sadness, anticipating the dream of a dreamless night.
They live in the darkness, for all their waiting they never see the morning light.
Why do they do the things they do?
~David Francey (lyrics from "Things They Do")

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

My condolences, ctf. :(

BPH, are you still working at Snelling this summer?

I am, yes. Assuming the shutdown doesn't happen or is quick, we'll have our big Independence Day celebration on Monday.

Evening, Lodge. Also, feel free to contact your legislators and convince them that they should seek a deal. :)

Sincere condolences. :(

Evening, Lodge. Much better day in class today; at least now I can properly julienne a potato.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

But bph, I could use a week off from northern Minnesota...

Good point, and if they don't get their schist together by the 3rd, I can stay the second night in Houghton. :D

Still, a paycheck is really handy, and I don't want to lose out on holiday pay for the 4th.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

I'm in rough shape after the nutty MTB riding I did yesterday, but I'll still drag my sorry *** out in five hours to do 50 miles.
