Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Evening, Lodge!

First day of Skills 1 is over with, and I'm already sick of looking at potatoes. By the time this quarter is over with, I will be able to dice a potato with the best of them.

Dinnertime! Turkey and feta meatballs with a spicy tomato sauce served over whole wheat penne pasta. Fresh raspberries and blueberries with french vanilla ice cream for dessert. Bon appetit, y'all.:)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Seriously?? No posts since 11:12 today? Where was everyone?? I was at a conference all day. Do better tomorrow people. ::mad

Without checking, I think that this is the longest running thread since tLodge was founded.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

I just had the most amazing dinner and thought of Shirtless. Thought we were going to eat something in a mediocre restaurant. Instead- amazing calabrese salad with incredibly fresh ingredients topped with fresh arugula (YUMMMM!!), real creamed spinach with whole leaves, real mashed potatoes and a steak (I never, ever get steak but am glad I did). Wowza. I was so psyched to eat good food.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Hey everyone. I got a bunch done after work. Lawn is mowed and got a couple batches of wine racked.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Just had dinner with colleagues at this really nice Greek restaurant here in Toronto called Estiatorio Volos, which is fun cuz my mother's family is from Volos. Owner of the restaurant was HAWT. Restaurant has been open for 6 days. HAWT owner gace us a comped round of an awesome delicious dessert wine. Food was very good. My boss' boss paid for the whole thing. Lots of laughs, good conversation. Day 2 of the conference tomorrow with the Showcase Awards tomorrow night. We've submitted a bunch of projects that have won something. Should be a nice haul of hardware.

I have a few things that need to be done before the weekend, and if today is any indication, you may be driving part of the way to Houghton. :(

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Thoughts, prayers, etc would be greatly appreciated for me, my "Apple family", and the family of one of my coworkers...
I was informed this evening that one of my coworkers passed away in a car accident. She was 18, just graduated from high school, and was just one of those girls that you couldn't help but love.

She was the first person who made me feel welcome when I transferred and always had the best attitude. We were the "Olly" twins (her name's Holly).

I'm just... numb.

Prayers go out to you, ctf.

Mornin' Lodge!

Goldy how was the game? We have the Moondogs here, and just for hp's liking, when the Moondogs were known as the Mashers, they had a centerfielder named Curtis Granderson..

Have a fantastic tuesday everyone!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Still can't sleep... was just talking to Sara, who is the coworker I'm closest with. We are both still numb & in disbelief. I asked her if she had to work today, she said, "no, thank goodness" and so did I. When I asked her when she worked next I had to smile when she said opening on Wednesday. That's going to be my first shift back, and I know that someone's watching over us, because I don't think I'd make it through the day without her.
Rough part though? Our third musketeer was supposed to be working that shift as well. :(

Didn't it start over the weeknd? When I was at my German class on Saturday, they mentioned that the Germany-Canada match would be shown there on Sunday.

I think that was just the hosts opening game. I could be wrong though. I was only paying partial attention.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Sorry ctf. :(

Mav, game was OK, but not great. Rochester did not play real well. Pitching got knocked around a bit and they lost 2-1. Final out for the Honkers was a call I don't think I've seen before - runner interference with a throw. Lunkers were trying to turn the DP and the Honker sliding into second stayed pretty upright and hopped up blocking the throw to first. At least it was a quick pace, finihsed in about 2:15 or so.

BPH, are you still working at Snelling this summer?
