Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Weekends at the lake are the best. Thankfully the weather has turned out, should be a good night for some fishing!

Today a good friend of mine was drafted in the 6th round. A defenseman out of Burnsville. Last year(09-10) he was a borderline varisty player, and last season(10-11) he was an absolute stud. So happy for him, shows that hard work can make dreams come true!

**** this mother ****ing world!!!! I sm so sick of getting screwed over by work and life in general! Kill me now, I've had it!

First work sends me to bum **** Virginia, mn, then my boss basically tells me to go **** myself when I want to take vacation, now today I gave to work which canceled my buddy's visit to go fishing...now I try going fishing after work and it takes me 20 minutes to get that fixed.
Then I drive 40 minutes to the lake and the motor won't start! I can't catch a break today.

Bad time to tell you that you missed another typical weekend with us?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Good morning Lodge. Heading to Toronto today for a work trip. Not bringing the iPhone as I don't want to get socked with another whopping roaming charge. Last night I came home from dinner and couldn't get my router to work. After playing around with both the modem and router, I called Comcast and figured it out it was not the modem. So then I called Linksys to see if it was actually the router. I'm sure I was calling oversees. Turns out my "free tech support" ended in August and I would have to pay $29.99 for 2-weeks of support or $39.99 for 6 months. I told her I could probably by a brand new one for $50. She did make a good point that the router I had was not powerful (?) enough for the broadband service, and that's probably why it crapped out. I guess they're only good for a couple of years? So she said if I agreed to buy a new one she would help me fix this one while I waited for the one I bought. Yeah, I know. But she did fix it so I can be online today. I'll just have to go through all the same set up again when the new one comes. Had to reset my TiVos and get my iPhone to access it as well. Pain in my ***.

Morning Lodge.

Got to sit up with a sick kid last night and he threw up finally around 1:30 AM. Then we were both able to go to bed. I'd recommend avoiding the blackened chicken alfredo at Champps in Minnetonka. It's the only thing I can figure that would have done it to him. It's been a lot of years since I pulled that duty.

Mav, congrats to your buddy! Was very surprised to hear about Foggerty going so high too. Best of luck to all the MN kids at camps and with their future teams.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

I figured as much with your birthday bash and the NHL draft...

We had a butterface shove her boobs into bbdl's face at Gasthof's, another girl ask if bbdl was a farmer (and he later gave her his number, because she asked; dollar bet between him and I is in play on when she calls/texts), drank odd/evil/delicious drinks at Psycho Suzi's and bought the glasses they came in, and heard one of the best lines of the night from some dooshbag:

"Don't make me get serious."

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Brent, first of all, bbdl doesn't fail, I simply postpone success for a day or so.

Also, one of the highlights of the night was the look on diva's face when flashy took the shot of Patron.

I never said you would fail. And forgot about the Patron. That was amazing.

For the rest of you: some random bachelorette left a shot of Patron (tequila) for us to drink. None of us wanted it....then Dorkisak grabs it, slams it, and goes on like nothing happened. :D

And I put it in front of him completely thinking he wouldn't take it. Then, bam, like it was water. Yeah, that was pretty much incredible.

Why did no one want a shot of patron? What is wrong with you?
