Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

(314):
Maybe it's cuz you slapped him with a pancake last night

Lil just showed me how to look up this site. THis one stuck out. I wonder why.

The site is great. There's some classics in there.

(215):i got kicked out of Barns and Nobles cuz i put all the bibles in the fiction section

(407):i went to disney world today with my friends, met snow white, then saw her later at a bar. she is naked next to me in her bed, passwed out. when you wish upon a star...

(314): So I went on a date with this girl...and whos our waitress? My girlfriend got a second job she didn't tell me about to afford my bday present.

(571): So I went home with some chick last night... I'm not sue what's worse: not getting a nut at 5am, the condom breaking and not being replaced, feeling poo when I put my finger in her but, sleeping on a heroin mattress in her living room, her swine flu coughing fit at 7am or realizing she peed the matt at 10am. Actually it was probably the fact that she continuously told me she was the classiest girl in boulder.

Yes. He also told me that he had never been on it before

I always wonder about parents who forget what their own generation was like in their time (oh, my ____ would never do ____)... glad to know you're not one of them... of course that might have to do with the constant involvement with guys 18-24 years old over the last couple of decades.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

It's not a requirement for the customer most places.

I agree less of their wage should be based on tipping, though. It's also garbage that hosts/hostesses get tipped.

AGREED. I even host on occasion and I don't think we should. Never have I ever in my life based what I tip a server on how well the host greeted me.

I was a busboy for a VERY brief time, and I liked the restaurant's policy that we got a % of the waitresses' tips. Some may ask how that is justified. It's justified because the faster a busboy clears/cleans the table, the more customers (and tips) a waitress gets.

I've tipped a penny before, and I've tipped up to 35-40% before (rarely, but it's happened; exceptional service, lower bill vs amount of time I've spent at the table (usually for sporting events), etc. And if I'm a regular or not. My usual is about 20% at restaurants, 25% for bartenders because of reasons previously mentioned. I actually up it to 30% at times at bars if I'm a semi-regular (lately it's been TK's, of course).

Right now, since I'm only there with bbdl/MNS, I most likely have to walk up the bar and say/motion "big" and I get a mason jar of Nordeast. bbdl doesn't even have to order. He just walks up and they know what he wants. MNS sometimes has to order, but more often than not, he doesn't. It's partly to do with being there a lot, but a decent part is because of how we tip. We all don't wait often, if at all.

Busy restaurant, yes. Applebee's 97% of the time... no. Not to mention, they're not even clearing off our tabeles. They won't touch it unless I have everything off of the table, with the exception of maybe a couple glasses. Also, some of them suck, and even that takes them 10 minutes.

They suck for 10 minutes? Rimmy would love that!

Sounds like the manager's fault for not yelling at them to do their job, and/or just canning them when the laziness is chronic.

They probably don't understand English.

Wait, why would I go there? :D

Yeah, that's the manager's fault.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

So, I'm staying at my parents' virtually empty house with their dog tonight because they're 3 hours away looking at houses. (My dad got a job at the VA using his fairly recently earned MSW)
I didn't realize it seeing as how I've lived away from home for more than a year and a half, but realizing that it's REALLY going to be gone... I'm going to miss this place. :(

But just think, your parents are upgrading to a double-wide!

You're too cute. They actually are getting something relatively small, just because they only plan to be there for 2 years (at which point my dad should be able to transfer back here), and they're going to be stuck with two mortgages for a while, we assume.

Goodness my aunt has the life...
She just posted a pic of herself on FB... Bono's arm is around her. She is at the afterparty for the opening of Spiderman on Broadway. U2 did the music for it. Bono gave her the tickets to the show.

So, an apt that is located above the Piggly Wiggly? I guess that should suffice.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Evening all! Been planning on a little dinner date with TK tomorrow and it might be blowing up in my face. Supposedly we've got a wagon of hay coming in tomorrow, and it just might cause me problems.

The Haywagon got here a little before 3:30 today. We had that sucker unloaded and stacked by 4. Not too shabby at all there. Almost wished he had about another ten wagons just like it coming in right behind it, as he really had it all dialed in for us. Not a single wet bale and all nice and tight. Anyways, a shower and shave and I was able to have my little dinner date with the woman in Ann Arbor. Ate over at the Pizza House, and then took her to a little place I know on State Street. :D Good day overall.
