Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 135: Rain, rain go away

I actually ran better when I was angry.

I got stung by a bee at the start of the 3rd mile of an XC meet once. After dropping an F-bomb that was heard 500 feet ahead of me, I ran one of my better mile splits that season.

In other news...

Lease is up soon at my current apartment, so I'm thinking about bailing out unless they make me a Godfather offer. It was okay, but I'm starting to outgrow it and I think the neighborhood is heading downhill. Lots of drunken hooting and hollering and shouting matches out in the street, and had APD in the building a while back. Plus I have friends who are getting much better places in nicer parts of town for much less.

Starting to look at new places now. Looking for a rental condo for 1-2 years, then I'll think about buying something assuming I'm still around.
Well with rapture only 2 days away you might consider not jumping into any long term commitments.

Who turned on the water?? Been coming down in buckets here in Livonia. Word has it that I-96 at middlebelt is flooded, or at least has standing water. Hope it drys out soon.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 135: Rain, rain go away

You never know. Sometimes when you let go of expectations, you end up running better than ever.
Grr- bolted from work- if they ran things in the usual order I could have seen but they ended up running things all out of order so I missed his Mile race by 5 minutes :( Another 5:02 and then a 63 for 400m in the 4X400 relay along with a couple mile warm up, a couple mile warm down and playing some cut-throat frisbee and catch for an hour in between. Still jumping and twirling after the race. This after 4 races in 8 days. The kid has more energy than is right :D Apparently when we had no rain that was enough to put him in the mood to run. what ever. He had a good time.

So you're saying he's on drugs. Hmmmm, I wonder from whom he might have procured them?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 135: Rain, rain go away

Why is it the one night I decided I would only go for a drink or two my friend and I met these great guys who were in town for the Sox-Cubbies series this weekend? One guy basically proposed to me because I was asking hottie bartender to change the game from the Sox to the Bruins. Fun night. I was bummed I had to leave but I had to finish packing and need to go to bed early as I leave really early tomorrow morning. Bummed, as I had tickets to the Sox-Cubs game tomorrow and could have met up with them. *sigh* I don't call myself the Queen of Missed Opportunities for nothing.

Well, I love my car after the first 160 miles on it from the dealership! Super nice ride, great features, lots of fun. I'm real happy with it right now!!!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 135: Rain, rain go away

Good Morning Lodge! :)

Going bike riding in about an hour. Hope it doesn't rain.

Well it didn't rain today, but earlier rain caused the Potomac to flood the bike path along the river, and my foot got all soaked. 45 minutes later, I decided to turn around. :)

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!! friday. phew.
Phew is right. This week has been all kinds of ****ed up, and I just want it to end (and to think all the ****ed up part is unrelated to my job).

Good Morning, Lodge!

Another eight fun hours of work, and then, oh what to do with the weekend....

At least I got my 5% student loan completely paid off. Waiting on the 2.47% because I need to get a car.

Indeed - she has a bf (found out last night via text).

Additional ****ed up thing: just two days after finding out I didn't get the job I applied for at another hospital, I hear there's a supervisor position that has been posted ... in Denver (a place I came very close to moving to three years ago when they offered me a different job).

I miss the days when very little happened for months on end.

BF ?!1!1!111! Hmm, that is not good. Stink.
and :( about the job.

and a little sun would change my outlook. Cloudy and misting for the last 2 weeks. Covering the practice by myself all day again. sigh. Can't even walk out the back door for a little Vitamin D at my pseudo lunch hour.
