Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 134: Huh?

Holy company stock price batman!

I am starting for get a better idea of where I'll have to travel throughout the summer, the list looks like this:

Green Bay (multiple times, probably 5-6 trips)
Grand Forks (multiple times, 2-3 trips)
Dominican Republic
Detroit
Somewhere in BFE Pennsylvania
Upstate NY, somewhere north of Syracuse (this one is just a maybe at this time)
El Paso (multiple times, 2-3 trips)
Indianapolis (corporate headquarters for training)
Santa Rosa, CA (this is also a maybe at this point)

It doesn't look like I'll be home much over the next 4-5 months.

You'll be able to use FF miles to get to Vegas!

That is what I'm hoping! I am almost to the 100k mile mark already! But I already know I'll be using miles for the Tampa FF, and I owe Shirtless Guy a flight, since he bought our DC flights with miles. That should kill off a good chunk of my miles.

The co-worker that I'm working with on the project in Detroilet emailed me today to ask if I have my insurance up-to-date and if I have a conceal and carry permit. I see we're going to the nice part of town.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 134: Huh?

So that went surprisingly well. CEO wants me to stay involved with one project that I brought in. I'm sure my new place will be fine with that. I like it cause the facilities director there has been a friend of mine for about 8 years (I did their new hospital when I worked at a different firm, doing their new nursing home now).

Leaving early today for jr's track meet. In MNS's home town, but the public school, not the hoity-toity private school he went to.

Good luck to you, sir.

I finally had my review today. Basically, what they told me is this: I've rocked the probationary period, and they want to make sure I stick around. So they're immediately putting me in training to be an assistant manager, while giving me responsibilities and tasks related to my strengths and educational background. Among the duties involved:
-Fill-in product orders
-Scheduling
-Heading up all new employee training
-Creating and executing lessons for employees on in-store products
-Working with local high-school teams, setting up shoe fitting clinics, form clinics, etc
-Helping with community outreach and charitable work

That. Sounds. AWESOME. I'm pretty excited about this--it kinda feels and sounds more like a big kid job.
Woohoo! Congrats, both of you! :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 134: Huh?

They keep sending me texts. Both of them. I have probably used 200 texts since 9. I have to make sure I send the right texts to the right one. This will take a little getting used to.

Pfft. Girl 1 on odd days and girl 2 on even days. End of problem. You are welcome. :p

My .02 worth. Make a decision for the benefit of all involved sooner rather than later.

Actively dating (as in having a relationship) with more then one girl at a time is actually surprisingly exhausting. It's definitely more then just twice the effort of dating one girl.

He REALLY needs to make a decision on which path to pursue and which to abandon no later than Memorial Day.

Or he could hire a couple of those Tech fans who were tracking flights of potential coaches to assist with "juggling" his schedule.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 134: Huh?

Drinko de Mayo. And I'm a college graduate in 14 hours! To say I'm pumped is an understatement. Hopefully the family being together goes smoothly, or else I'm ditching them for the bar.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 134: Huh?

SB, Not only are you a hockey fan, you're also the LODGE'S resident Executive Chef. You seem to be the logical person to whom I can pose a food related question. Is pecorino cheese named after Nashville's starting goalie?
:)

Actually, the name is derived from pecora, the Italian word for sheep, and it is a sheep's milk cheese, primarily used for grating.

Does that mean the Nashville goalie's name translates into "Sheep *er?"

It helps a lot if they live in different cities. I dated my now wife in Wilkes-Barre, PA while I was still seeing another lady in Philadelphia a couple hours south. Was an intersting summer....

I'm currently trying to break a certain one of that really creepy habit.

true, though it doesn't help when they both show up to a national hockey tournament. Otherwise, yes, two cities is quite a good, if expensive, arrangement.
