Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 134: Huh?

My aunt sends me a text this morning at 6:45 local time to let me know about Mother's Day plans. Apparently she doesn't realize I'm three hours behind. Thanks for waking me up!!! Then she posts the same thing on my Facebook wall. Couldn't she have just done that? Or, you know, wait till I get home to tell me in person?

She obviously thinks that you're the unreliable one in the family and she's being thorough.

I always love working here, in this test cell. 480 volt generator set leads + 3 110 volt power cords + natural gas lines + 1/2" of water on the floor makes for great fun.

Yawn!!! I wanna go back to bed! Gummble gummble!

Took our oldest dog to the vet yesterday to have here put down. She was old and it was her time.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 134: Huh?

Today I was contacted about applying for a job here in Mankato for the Summer, as a waiter and server at three local restaraunts, all 3 of them very popular. I know the owner fairly well, and I feel like I'd have a pretty good shot at getting the job. The dilemma: I also have applied at the golf club here in town, and I have been persistent in letting them know I want the job. This job is as a bag boy, clean member's clubs, put away carts, put clubs on carts for members, etc. It's looking pretty good for me to get the job, but possibly not til mid June or so. Do I pursue the job at the restaraunts? Both would pay wage similiarly and I'd get great tips both places. Free golf at the club.
I'm torn on what to do, so I was just curious what you guys thought!

1.) Apply for the job at the resturant(s)
2.) When you hear back from the resturants, contact the golf club and ask if they have made a decision. If they have then you have to decide between the jobs, if they have not then you take the resturant job.
3.) If you are later offered the golf job, you could always quit the resturant and take that job (that would be a bit of a dickish move) or ask to have you hours cut back. Nothing to say that you couldn't work both jobs during the summer.

Every dollar you make down will be worth it in the future, students loans may be "good" dept, but they are not all they are cracked up to be.

Brent's the tall one over there, the Commie's next to him.

The Commie's a girl?

No, the Commie just has girly hair.
