Hi, Lodge. I'm glad I didn't really listen last night, we lost 4-1 to Lake State.

Kinda cold for that, no? :p

Nah, warm day here. Big fundraising plunge today in Maple Grove with local TV types jumping in for some cause or other. Going to be well above zero, might even top freezing (33 maybe) today.

Looks like I lost some new subscriptions, a few rep messages, and the "unread post" points in most of the threads. :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 129: Still got those Winter Blues...

Hi Lodge. I survived the * hockey and eff life bar last night and have awoken to, "today's a new day". Yesterday sucked big time.

1. We gave up the 2-1 lead at Miami to lose 4-2. At one point they had a guy on either side of Scooter Vaughn (Michigan player), Vaughn goes down and gets called for the hooking penalty. I asked if a "Rodney King" chant would have been inappropriate. I assume it would have been.

2. I'm in Ohio. (my choice, wanted to go the hockey games at Miami)

3. Got called about the job to find the same "you don't have automotive experience" is what did me in. Apparently it was the girl at the local facility who convinced the others not to hire me. I don't think she ever gave me a chance. I know I asked her more questions than she asked me. Maybe I intimidated her. I feel bad for the guy that drove all the way from Milwaukee to interview me though. What a waste of his time if she was going to say "no" based on something they already knew.

So, anyway this arrogant Michigan fan needs to find a way to not intimidate potential employers, but I just try to be myself. I don't think I'm intimidating, but I am confident in my ability to do things, and that I'm more intelligent than most of the US population.

I hope my team wins tonight, I need this weekend to have some good things.

Hi, sTrumpet!

1 - Rodney King would've been great.

2 - Me, too. Well, sorta. I'm not here for hockey, and it kind of isn't my choice, but I make do.

3 - That sucks. From the little I've seen of the automotive industry, you're better off. Then again, it may just be the clowns in charge where I used to work.

Being yourself is the best course you can take. It's easier that way.

Good luck!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 129: Still got those Winter Blues...

The German course that I have been taking at the Goethe Institut in DC is quite interesting. I now know how to say "the whore house" in German (der Puff).

We play Bye tonight. Maybe I will just stay in and recover is here

I just want some female companionship at the *k hockey bar. I mean, Scarlet and Diva will be there, but I'd prefer you to help me keep out the riff-raff
