Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 127: So This is the New Year...

Waiting for the 'men' to get home. Watching the news and hanging out. Haven't done that in forever!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 127: So This is the New Year...

So I guess we got what Pittsburgh is going to get on Saturday, only we had lower temps than what is forecasted for then.

Yeah, good luck playing hockey in that.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 127: So This is the New Year...

It's a cold, gray, snowy, wintry late afternoon/early evening here in Denver. It's a perfect night to stay home, grill some ribeye steaks, open a nice bottle of wine and watch a bowl game or two. And that's exactly what we'll be doing. Have a good night all. :)
Arbor mist?

Arbor mist?

Arbor mist? That's for peons like you, you putz. Hayman & Hill meritage 2006 for The Shots. And it's frosty cold here in the Mile High City this evening. Got the Denvers and the Northern Michigans this weekend.

Hey Omaha, Happy New Year!:)

Ending the work week with a touch of Glenlivet 18YO, perusing the weather here and in CO Springs. Looks like it's gonna be cold there just in time for my arrival. My buddy's wife is already blaming me for that. I just gotta hope that the sleet holds off enough so I can get outta town on time tomorrow.

Had some leftover chicken, sauteed kale in bacon fat, and brown rice, flipping back and forth between bowl games and the GLI championship game. No wine though; saving it for tomorrow night and after my race on Saturday.

Running the Sgt Preston on Saturday is going to be a fun, slushy mess. I'd rather run in Denver, where it's actually winter.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 127: So This is the New Year...

congrats on the retirement, grandpa Ralph. :)

So...after four months of having to commute to Greensboro...after 4 months of stress and restless sleep, I finally got crew scheduling to put me on reserve in Denver! It was a stroke of luck, but somehow, I'll be spending the first 9 days of January in Denver. Also, I get a 2 day trip tomorrow, which means I'm in San Antonio tomorrow night. And can go see DU on New Years Day play the gocats.

First sign that maybe things will be ok with this company...

YAY!!! :)

Hi to the g-family - little gs 1 and 2. :)

Got into the EMT program yesterday and got my information packet in the mail today. Since I just picked up the mail, I'm leaving it for tomorrow to peruse and see what I need to do. Had steak, couscous, & sugar snap peas tonight for dinner and concocting a dessert of the leftover peanut butter parts from the buckeyes, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce. We shall see where we end up.

Have to work until at least 2 tomorrow...boo. :(

I'd like to thank ESPN for cutting into the NE-WA football game with the Stan - Conn hoops game as it allowed me to discover "Johnny Cash: The Man, His World, His Music" was on the local PBS station.

June Carter Cash was really funny. I didn't realize just how good Reese Witherspoon was in Walk The Line until I watched this documentary.

Reese was great. It did impress me that she sang herself, and no dubbing. Same with Joaquin.
