You book the room as soon as you can. Enter the lottery. If you don't get a ticket, you call to cancel. Easy peasy. Plus, I will be selling my two as I always do. Had I but known, I woulda sold them to you.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 124: End of season: Which hockey table will you be at?

3 things:

1. I just got gray rep from a post in a Michigan season thread I posted in February. And it wasn't even a rude post. Just about skipping Michigan home games to go to an RIT game.
2. I have a boy I could take to the Frozen Four, but April is far away, who knows what will happen by then, and he's not a huge hockey fan. I figured I'd try for 2 tickets and not have a problem finding someone to go
3. For my first time making pudding shots, I think I did well. Still have to see how they set up (used cool whip to thicken). But, based on what was left in the bowls, both the dirty girl scout and the mudslide shots will be very yummy. I wonder if they'll still be here for my party Friday, or if I'll eat far too many before then.

I know, right?? Jeez mookie, what - are you new here?

Greetings from NYC. Here for a couple of days for a class.

:wave!:

Heading home tomorrow, going to search for Bambi's Dad. Won't be posting more than likely other than a possible drive by from the 1980 rink at the SLU vs Clarkson Halloween Faceoff game if I'm on my phone. Talk to everybody Monday otherwise, enjoy your weekend!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 124: End of season: Which hockey table will you be at?

I'm still debating on bringing my hockey gear or not this year...I might be able to secure ice at my high school, but if we could grab the Mooch, that would be bad*****. I've skated there and they have really good ice.

Back a few years ago Mariucci doubled their hourly ice rental rates. The U changed insurance providers, which caused the U to double the rate. Prior to the rate hike, Mariucci was roughly twice the price of other rinks. At that time, other rinks were charging $120/hr. We stopped getting ice there when their rate went to ~$490/hr.

All that said, yes, Mariucci does have excellent ice. I'd say it's the second best sheet I've ever skated. The best sheet was at St. Thomas, but that was a couple years back now.

From the minimal research I had heard about last spring, the Mecca is indeed out, barring a lotto winner. I wish it wasn't so late in the year, as if it were Feb, we coulda had a nice outdoor boothockey game. I would have suited up for that!

Good morning MEUSA, Ralph and the rest of tLodge!

Um, I think there are some questions that need to be answered.:eek::eek:

(704):
I just had a formal request to dress as a boyscout for my meeting with Legal on Friday. From Legal. Time to go home.
To be clear, I did not make that request.

(To make this worse, my cell phone has that area code. It's the area code for the half of NC that includes Charlotte.)

Why do you have a bf who isn't a huge hockey fan to start with? Talk about a doomed relationship!

Also, mmmm pudding.

We are able to book ice at Ridder or Mariucci for $200/hr. Of course we have a tax ID # as a non-profit and our association liabilty umbrella so that may make a difference. Hmmm, wonder if I can book it for my peewee team then sublet it to the USCHO crew...hmmmm.

Heck, have a pee-wee vs. USCHO scrimmage. At least the USCHOers would give your crew a little competition, probably :o

Morning, Lodge. Just as the weather is getting nicer, I'm heading to the East Coast. See ya in a week or so! (And be prepared for drive-by posts on how much New Jersey sucks, jmh. :D)

It makes getting side action on hockey trips much easier if he doesn't go on the trips.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 124: End of season: Which hockey table will you be at?

Good morning from Denver, where we're having another gorgeous, but crisp morning and.....wait a minute...

Attention LODGEONIANS! May I have your attention please. I've just been handed a weather bulletin by the official LODGE meteorologist, a Mister Cranium....a Mister Richard Cranium. Looks like large parts of the nation will be experiencing turbulent weather later today.

Don't believe me? See for yourself. http://www.youtube.com/verify_age?next_url=http%3A//www.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3D99FDDLWz15Y

Huh, good point. Maybe I shouldn't have stayed with my wife once she showed an interest in hockey (it was after we had been together for about 8 years).

wT: I'm with JF on this one. Get a quality USCHO geek like one of us.
And while I admire your intent to get some side action on hockey trips, boyfriending someone is far too serious an investment of your time to waste on someone who doesn't appreciate the beauty of a woman who will travel this great land to watch college hockey!
