Since WTW seems to really want to know:

I plan to dress as a 'college hockey gypsy' for the hockey game on the 30th. My thought was I'd dress like a gypsy and wear a UAH jersey (or hat, or something). As of right now it looks I may end up making my own t-shirt that I'll trace a UAH logo on to.

While I know most people at the hockey game won't get it, I'll find it hilarious.

Do not fear me Gypsy, I only need your tears.

What's the matter? Doesn't the home provide transportation to the closest polling place on election day?

Mark, One of the options Coloradans have is receiving an absentee ballot for any and all elections. I prefer the convenience of this method of voting since it eliminates having to go to a polling place on Election Day and deal with potentially long lines and voting machine malfunctions, both of which have presented problems in the City and County of Denver in recent years. Whether it's a primary, statewide, "off-year" or Presidential year election, I've chosen the option of absentee ballot voting for the last fifteen years or so. I cannot recall exactly, but within the last five years there was an election within the City and County of Denver conducted solely by means of absentee ballots. One of the claims made by the state Election Commission is that conducting an election by absentee [mail-in] ballot is that it is cheaper than using electronic voting machines. I have no idea if that's true or not, but I enjoy the absentee ballot option and intend to keep using it.

Today is my Friday. I must burn a boatload of vacation days and I will be working short weeks until end of the year.

No big plans are in order for the long weekend. Just plan on hanging out with little g and little gII.

The USCHO Extra link on the USCHO front page actually lets you sign onto Extra now. The subsequent Set Your Extra Preference link is still broken, but there is hope.

I enjoy the absentee ballot option and intend to keep using it.

Polish sausage, sauerkraut and baked beans here. Seems like everyone I know is having delicious cuts of beef though... maybe that trend will have to continue at my house soon.
