Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 122: Autumn has arrived.

 Just had a senior-wide meeting with the career people reminding us to come to them for help preparing for job interviews and such. Fall career fair is in a couple weeks, so maybe I'll get an interview or such, we'll see. bbdl, you're the recruiting guy here, right? Any chance of possibly having you critique a resume and maybe give me an idea of generic interview questions if I do land an interview?

Yikes, growing up is a somewhat scary thought.:o

No kidding.....

Looked at a room in Ann Arbor yesterday at a place that was looking for a MT to fill it. Been jerked around waiting for the guy in Clinton here to get back with me, and getting tired of it. Pretty sure they're looking to fill the spot asap. Much bigger room, and they're going to renovate it anyways as its gott too many windows as the place was used as bit of a retail store before. Gotta meet with the rest of the partners there, but it looks promising...

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 122: Autumn has arrived.

Looking at photos of CTF?

Hey now, how do I always get brought in??
I've been VERY well behaved lately. Haven't even effed much up, other than the fact that I'm very homesick and know basically nobody here.
However, on the bright side, worked my first shift at Applebee's yesterday, and even got invited to go out after work, so maybe things are looking up. :)
And, Tech's 1-0 right now. :D
It's been awhile so I just wanted to stop in and say hello to everyone! I hope all is well for every body! Thank God it's hockey season!

Who are you?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 122: Autumn has arrived.

It is raining. It is cold. Lil has a meet today. Brrrrrr.

Lil is experiencing his first real peer pressure- just got a text- he told the hockey capt he is going to run indoor track this yr and the capt is pressuring him to go out for hockey. He is a small guy. Not strong, would be blown up trying to play at that level (like as in Mr thinks there would be potential for injury), not to mention he has played for sh*t teams for the past 3 yrs and is just finally on a team that is teaching him the rudimentary game skills. He knows he isn't ready yet but doesn't want to let the guy down. I suppose there are worse dilemmas but corresponding via text about it is nuts!

He has to make the team before getting blown up, right?. If the team captain thinks he ready, then why not try? If he doesn't make it, indoor track will still be there

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 122: Autumn has arrived.

So I went down to our canteen store to buy some gum.

We have Slap Chops in stock. I couldn't resist. I'm so sorry.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 122: Autumn has arrived.

Some good news to report......my wife's niece, who graduated from the University of Wyoming Nursing School earlier this year, recently took exams in the state of Colorado to become an RN. Today, she received the results of the exams and is now a fully licensed registered nurse. She has a lead on a job in Colorado Springs and would live in Castle Rock, about halfway between her family in Highlands Ranch and the Springs. She's been dating a terrifc young man, who is gainfully employed, and it's likely just a short matter of time before they announce their engagement.

Nice to see things working out for two good young adults. :)

The capt has never seen him play. He would have played JV but he truly isn't ready. He went to a camp this summer with kids who would be playing at that level and was very frustrated- he knew he was slower and the others were frustrated when he couldn't keep up with the drills. He is a good athlete just not body mature enough to compete at that level right now.

Instead we get to watch XC in the windy, cold rain. Brrrr!! It was cold today!

Would be happy to look at it as well. Worked at a placement firm for 9 months (before placing myself in a different job). Shoot me an email via USCHO.

Tried it out on some cooked ground beef.

Worked NPB. Beef may have been a little tough/stringy for the blades. It's also surprisingly loud to use - the noise carries right through your countertop.

I'm impressed Twitch, there's no youtube video link here to go with it. ;)

Sweet.

Evening, Lodge. Got the car loaded up with more of Mom's stuff to haul to a thrift store tomorrow.

Good deal Bob. You decided what you're doing Saturday yet??

Awesome, thanks and I'll send it around once I get it updated and into what I think is a reasonable draft.

Learned how to play Euchre tonight, fun card game and it turns out I'm a quick learner. Made a noob mistake in my 3rd game, but won the first 2 I played with a partner.

God, it's been years since I played. Used to sit around my buddy's pool and we'd play that for hours on Sipper Saturdays.

really fun game, liked the fast pace of it and it has similarities to spades, which I've played a lot.

Yanks take game 1 after a very blown call by the umpires. I'm enjoying an octoberfest (Sam Adams) in honor of the victory.

T-24 hours for shenanicans alert code red. Tomorrow night will be very bad to my liver.
