In Denver, the arrival of Labor Day Weekend brings with it the unofficial end to summer and the arrival of ski season in the form of SNIAGRAB [it's the word BARGAINS spelled backwards and is an enormous ski season equipment sale held at Sports Authority]. SNIAGRAB has been held for roughly thirty years and features every manner of new equipment for the coming ski season. My wife and I need new goggles so we'll be heading downtown after work to buy some and peruse the other merchandise on display. I might pick up a new pair of ski pants if one catches my eye.
I hope everyone has some fun plans for the upcoming holiday weekend and gets to relax and recreate. Good morning.

Anyways, going to go grab a quick shower here, and then I'm off to go get a massage and then a 3 day football weekend for me. West Texas A&M at GVSU tonight, Ferris State at Hillsdale on Friday night, then California (PA) at Saginaw Valley on Saturday. Going really incogneto for that last one, would be interesting to see if Saggy fans are just that classless to GVSU fans, or if they're really just all doushbags.

Anyway, good morning/afternoon! I'm doing the rather boring "clean the house" thing today, but tonight it'll be birthday celebration time. It feels a little weird to not have a present to give the birthday boy, but he got his gift a month early. I'm considering getting something small to be able to give him today, but I don't know. Maybe the best thing I can provide is a designated driver.

Posting from my Blackberry as my laptop is finally being installed. Hurricane Earl has forced the cancellation of my weekend plans. The hotel we had planned to stay at is closing both Friday and Saturday nights. *sigh* maybe we'll go to Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods instead.

Not a good day today. Cloudy, cool and drizzley. Wife took the car in 'cause I thought we had picked up something in a tire based on the noise and I couldn't find it - turned out to be a wheel bearing for about $400. Then we were supposed to get free ice cream from a vendor - no show.
Hope it's better tomorrow at the State Fair.
