Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 119: Legands of the Foopers

Good morning, long day yesterday. I led a training session all morning followed by a group golf outing. How bad is my golf game? The training session was more fun......but it was better than sitting at my "work station". ;)

Sorry Mel. :(

Free ice cream today at work :)

Should I get an ice cream sandwich or a nutty buddy?

Mornin' Loj!

F Cancer! :( Sorry Mel and Swanny. Friend of mine was diagnosed with breast cancer 2 months ago, 29, removal is not an option. Cancer certainly is teh suk, my family and friends have had enough, though I'm sure most here in the Loj feel the same way. Not to be cliche, but, this is why I Relay.

I think he should play "Jump" by Van Halen ... or the song by kriss kross.
Or "Jump for My Love" by the Pointer Sisters.

What is up, Lodge?

You know, it's a whole new-- wait, you've heard this before? :D
Hi Dave!

Can I get a round of F Cancer?

Just found out today a friend has aggressive colon cancer. They'll be removing it either this week or next. Shocked the hell out of me when I found out. No good... :(

While it's nowhere near as personal, the singer/guitarist of a band I'm rather fond of announced today he has leukemia, and that chemo is no longer an option.

This is a ****ty year in the metal world. Dio, Peter Steele, that guy from Slipknot, and possibly Nergal from Behemoth.

I hope your friend pulls through. A pretty good friend of mine beat childhood leukemia. F cancer. In the A.
F U, cancer!

Good morning, Lodge.

I will second that. I have mentioned this before but I have lost some dear friends over the last few years due to cancer.

Is it bad/wrong that I have lost count? F n A that is depressing. :( :o

A co worker brought in a pan of homemade carmel rolls fresh out of the oven this morning. Nothing better than a warm carmel roll covered in butter. They were huge. I had two of them. My office still smells like a bakery. ;)

Almost forgot to post the greatest college hockey goal ever.

Background. 24 March 1996, East Lansing, Michigan: 2nd period in Western Regional final, Minnesota is up 2-1. Michigan ties it up with this goal, and goes on to win 4-3, and eventually to win the National Championship.

The season must be getting close. My blatant CCHA bias and spirit of partisanship is coming out.

I may make an exception to the no neg repping retirement members rule...

I'll send you a refill if you should choose to send out some neg rep, and draw some retaliation.

I will send you a refill if anyone dings you because you are backing a gopher lover. ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 119: Legands of the Foopers

Good morning Lodge - it is still morning here on the Left Coast. Flight took off an hour late. I honestly have no problem with that, given the weather in Boston yesterday. What was pretty annoying was there was no announcement of any kind of delay at all. They did make up time in the air and we landed about 15 minutes later than initially scheduled.

What was awful about the flight was the fact that there were baby twins sitting two rows behind me that SCREAMED the ENTIRE flight. Well, most of it. Seriously, I almost went up to the mother to ask her why she was trying to teach her kids that crying wouldn't mean they would get what they wanted at the risk of alienating a plane full of people. Or "do your kids have some random pin sticking in them that is causing them to SCREAM at the top of their lungs?" Or even - "it's 1am Boston time - why aren't your kids asleep??? You are both bad parents for subjecting two small babies to ear pressure pain on a 6 hour flight and totally selfish as well. I'm calling Child Services on you."

Why is it the airlines can charge an overweight person for two seats but people can bring babies for free and make the rest of the plane annoyed and keep them from sleeping because the baby cries?? They should be charged for that. Or make them pay a deposit and if the baby is well behaved/doesn't cry/sleeps, they get the deposit back. Or something.

OK. It's scorching hot here and I'm off to the pool. Ciao kids! :)
