So I've decided not to pursue any of the girls that I've been talking to/hanging out with lately. I made the promise to myself that I wasn't going to get into any relationships longer than 48 hours in 2010, way back in January, so I'm sticking to that. I realized that I value my sanity too much to go down that road. Plus, I'm perfectly happy living the single life, so why change it? :)

Brent - re: your rep. I was actually going to rep you to thank you for nuking that one. There was no need to do so and no apology necessary, but I appreciate it nonetheless. That one just hit a little too close to home.

So...I can't recall...did I do an Emmy thread when the nominations came out or did I mention it in the TV thread? I leave tonight for LA. The Emmys are Sunday! The weather here sucks so naturally I am worried about flight delays tonight. I will have my laptop with me so I will be in touch while there. And possibly my Blackberry if I can fit it in the pocketbook I'm bringing. If the Nazi ushers are nowhere near me, I may post directly from the ceremony. :)

So my office window faces the Government Center, which is closed due to someone threatening to harm themselves on the 23rd floor. A lot of police around...

So, I just clicked on the thread, and happened to look at the poll options again.
Now my school song is stuck in my head.
Cheer cheer for old Calumet, that is the school we'll never forget...

My friend and former roommate x4 years at Tech wants me to go with him to his hometown for Labor Day weekend. He lives in a town of about 600 people, and they have a big town festival over the weekend. Street dances, parades, bonfires, drinking, random hookups....yeah, I don't think I can turn that down, it just sounds like way too much fun. :D
Unfortunately, it means I'd have to go to Detroit. :mad:

Well that was a more expensive cab ride to the airport than I anticipated. Traffic was a mess. Most likely weather-related.

Hey Ralph, did you post that RPI thread in the Cafe by mistake and then lose out on starting it in DI?

Mookie - are you going to St Louis for the Icebreaker? I just booked my flight.

I like free airport wifi....

....because my 7:05 flight got pushed back to 7:25, and I am guessing that is also getting pushed back as there is no plane at the moment. It will take them a 1/2 hour to deplane everyone and clean up, so I sincerely doubt we'll begin the boarding process at 6:55 as indicated on my boarding pass. It's rainy/misty/foggy/gross out here. *sigh*

Yeah, so no change here at the gate, but I checked on Massport's website and the plane we're supposed to take to LA is coming in from Dallas and isn't scheduled to land till 6:48. Which means that it won't be at the gate till, say, 7pm. And then they need to unload, clean, then load luggage and board. We won't be taking off till after 8pm, I would imagine. Why can't they update people here with that info? There is not on airline person at the counter either. That's just wrong. They probably know this flight is never going to take off and are hiding or something. :)

I approve, push the crybaby that's really just crying for help. It will make all the other ones to either suck it up, or get really serious about hurting themselves. If they're up there long enough for the Police to get there, its just a weak *** cry for help.
