Vampires ain't real. I've a better chance of shagging Halle Barry tonight.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 119: Legands of the Foopers

You haven't heard of that particular pile of corporate-driven sparkly vampire feces?

Sorry, I've not kept up on the latest in teeny bopper fads. I've heard of that movie series, but unlike some in here, ahem, I'm not on a first name basis with those characters. Sorry. :p
I'd post the picture of Blade standing menacingly behind those queer faux-vampires, but someone thought it was a good idea to prevent us from posting images in here.
You should have heard by now, it's Quiz's fault.

Dude, I wish there was another rock like the one you're apparently under, because I'd love to avoid all knowledge of Teams Edward or Jacob.

Books, internet and radio. I've been making a solid attempt at avoiding most TV for the past couple years. Aside from hockey and the occasional football game, there are only a few shows that I watch.

Besides the occasional show or two (right now it's Ice Road Truckers and Pawn Stars, and that's it), I rarely watch tv unless it's sports or movies. Even then, it's mostly background noise while I'm doing other things.

I've gotta side the same. I had no idea what BPH was talking about. Most TV is garbage, aside from the few shows that I DVR, sports, and the occasional movie.

I know about Twilight, but have no actual knowledge of it. When the first movie hit #1, I asked myself what the hell it was, and I had no clue.

I had heard about the first movie being made, and saw a coworker reading the books. I asked her about them, and she said they were vampire books for teenage girls - she being 21 at the time, I didn't think anything about it. I asked her if guys would like them, foraging for something to read at the time, and she told me my schlong would fall off from reading the books. That killed my interest in the series after that.

Yeah, no doubt. I get some random drive by postings in here and there, but that's about it anymore. Life keeps getting in the way. Which, hey, I'm not complaining (too much;) ) Things are good.

I vaguely recall seeing that you've got a pretty solid gig going on right now. How's that working out?

Pretty good so far. It'll be more fun when it's time to actually play hockey. The natives are restless, people want hockey. I don't think it's really settled in yet that this is what I'm doing. Maybe when I am at Heinz Field in December/January it'll hit me.

Just remember the little people when you hit the networks/sports channels.

You'll get there. You went from bum to internet star. That's a start. ;)

And I didn't have to shoot a hidden video with a hooker either!

By the way, video posts might be something that happens this season. Me on camera looking professional and talking.

I'll be honest: you have a face for radio. We recognize our own kind. ;)
