An absolutely gorgeous day here. Just got back from the beach. My mother made plaki, which is a fish meal in tomato sauce with potatoes, for dinner. So I figured I would let them stay to eat it. :)

I have a cold. Colds in the summer are not fun. Colds in the summer at the beach aren't fun either, but it's not a full blown cold yet.

Supposed to be just as nice tomorrow, if not a little warmer. Which is good. Because I need to continue to work on the tanning of the bod.

What were they protesting?

This is from an article on the MN Governor's race:

The contest has turned into a proxy fight over campaign finance reform as gay rights groups protest Target Corp. for contributing money to a group, MN Forward, that ran ads for Ted Emmer, the Republican presumptive nominee to succeed outgoing Tim Pawlenty. The state lawmaker opposes gay marriage, and some Democrats and gay rights activists are calling for a boycott of Target and posting protests on social media websites.

About the only thing I can say is that Target donated money to every candidate not just Emmer. Though Emmer did receive the most amount.

Probably the most fun day I've had at work on a busy day, though.

New Moon?? Even when Drunk, I think thats grounds for losing your Man Card right there.

They have sex in Breaking Dawn.

'Ello Lodge. Don't know if I've ever mentioned that we have ghosts in our house, but we do. Three of them. One's the original owner/builder, then there's his maid, and his little boy. We did the Ouija board the other day. Got some pretty freaky answers, yada yada. (One person asked if the Lions would ever win the Super Bowl, and the answer was GB. I love our ghosts) Anyways, last night, I went out around 1 AM, came back around 2, and everything was FUBAR. We're talking a pyramid of dining room chairs, couches upside down, condoms all over the floor, a dining room table on top of another, shoes in the freezer, garbage can in the oven, step ladder on the oven, every cupboard opened.. etc.

Still haven't figured out if it was a case of pimping or a case of the ghosts. Pimping almost ALWAYS comes with a note though, because people like to take credit for what they did.

pics 4 and 5 are cool, you'll still see those potato barrels to this day on some farms in Caribou. Those kids were let out of school for 2 weeks to get the taters in and that still happens today in some schools in the county. It used to happen at all the schools. Most of the harvesting now is mechanical.

Strange dream time again this morning after I went back to sleep at about 8AM.

This time there were two of them. One involved Shirtless Bob and I going to jail, but then we wound up in my living room after talking someone into letting us go home. The other one had the USCHO crew throwing a bash next door to my parents' place, and my own immediate family having a party at my parents' house. No one knew each other until I walked into the garage. Brenthoven appeared in my parents' garage and started to BS with my brother in law and I. Shortly after that I walked over to the USCHO gathering and knew everyone there.

I blame it on having the windows open overnight. I've got nothing else.

I'm glad I was able to make the party, it was a fun time. :D

And why were we in jail?

Evening, Lodge. Had an awesome race this morning, and I was reminded of how great it felt to be back on the road. Beats working, and it certainly beats trying to manage my house.

I don't remember. I think it had something to do with the internet. Just like I have no idea why USCHO had a bash next door to my dad's house, or why Hoovs appeared in my dad's garage.

I warned you, it was strange.

I dreamed earlier this week that I had won the Publishers Clearing House $10 million dollars... I started to go through all the awesome **** I was going to put into a house... and then I woke up... I immediately punched my bed and said "****it"

I still dream in the day time about what I'd do... but that dream had me win $10 million... big difference.

Mythbusters on right now is featuring Anchorage... and there was a moose walking around downtown near a bar.

The VA has seen two black bears and about seven moose since I've been here.
