Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 118: BoredboredboredBORED

Morning Lodge

I know all kinds of back ways to avoid the construction on 94 near Rogers. What's it worth to you gmann? :D

Last week when we went to the Twins game we drove through about 2 PM and it was slow. (around the Albertville area?) Is it still that way heading east? We will be in that area around 5PM or so.

If so, would it make any sense to take 10 into threeeyedfishland?

But apparently catching his connection was more important than being hit by a car, as he got up and ran off as if nothing had happened.
Hopefully next time it'll be a bus that hits him. If he gets up from that, he just might be indestructible.

Heading into the cities on a friday shouldn't be that bad. Heading north on the other hand is simply awful.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 118: BoredboredboredBORED

Last fun day, tomorrow we head for home. :( We're thinking of driving straight through, which means if we leave around 9 tomorrow we should pull into capital city around 4AM Sunday morning.

The boss can't believe I don't want to drive a hundred miles or today to Shenandoah NP when we're already on top of a mountain with a boatload of hiking trails. :)

10 is no better than 94. 5:00 PM is about the worst. Like Commie said, northbound is absolutely the worst on Fridays, but it's still brutal once you get near and east of 101 (Rogers) any day due to construction.

That's what I am thinking as well (10 being no better and we are heading in while everyone else is heading out). We are in no hurry and we are more than happy to stop by your place if cold beverages are prepared and NY strips are on the grill and you want your house destoyed by the little g's. ;)

Good morning tLodge! Another sunny day in 860/203 land.

Going off grid for about a week. Should be good for the soul~ no electronic anything. Might have withdrawal!:p
Have fun!

By the way, I hear that there is a big birthday 10 weeks from today. :D
Um, no... While I don't want Maggie to arrive early, 10 weeks is a bit too late. (as in almost four weeks past her due date)

I can provide the cold beverages, but the NY strips are out. Mrs. Gonzo and I usually go out to dinner on Friday's.
And your boys can do whatever they want to the interior, I'll only be mad if they ruin the exterior now that we're finally finished with that massive project :)

Birds are doing fine. Still getting lots of eggs

If it's project fried or bbq'd chicken, I'm all in favor of it.

Once their laying days are over, there will be a mass "processing". I'll keep all the local posters in mind for this event and have a gathering with knives. When we're done, we can BBQ AND fry them :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 118: BoredboredboredBORED

So, because I knew I was taking today off, I called a plumber to come over and see what's wrong with my kitchen faucet. I called Tuesday, said it's not an emergency, come of Friday. He said "I'll call around 9am before I head over." Fine. 9:00 comes. 9:15 comes. Phone finally rings. It's him. Just calling to say he'll be here soon. At 10:30, I get a call from another one of the staff. "We're having trouble finding your place." The hell???? It's a LOCAL plumber. I live on a state highway. It's pretty easy to find. I'm about to call them back to find out where the hell he is. My day is pretty much shot now.

Can there be target shooting involving a lifesized bucky badger mascot?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 118: BoredboredboredBORED

Tomorrow morning we are heading to cheeseheadville to ride a train. Then we are headed to MOA. If I am lucky one of the little g's will run out of gas and cut our time at MOA a little short. ;) Actually I don't mind if Mrs. g goes on a spree. A happy Mrs. g is a happy Mr. g.

I've ridden that Osceola train. Fun time for the little gs.

By the way, is anyone else bothered by the profusions of unnecessary and incorrectly used apostrophes? They are only used to show possession and in a contraction. It you type g's, I wonder what of the g's stuff are we talking about. You don't use an apostrophe for plurals!

Or we could all gather around a big bonfire comprised off all the empty Gopher bandwagons and we can start the fire with all the shredded scholarship documents that are no longer needed. :D

My solution to the budget deficit, a $5 tax on every unnecessary apostrophe. We'll be solvent again in months! :p
