this is the photographer we've had our eye on since we got engaged. She's pricey, but worth every penny. Her photography is goregous and she's pretty hot, too.
Now we gotta get a venue and we're set.
If they charge alot of money, it is because they are good. It's the ones in the the mid range that the ones that are hardest to figure out. And if they charge you less than $1000 run away!!!!!
Funny story about wedding photography. I walked into the Studio behind my apartment yesterday becuase I wanted to get some old images scanned. We started talking, the pages were too big, she said "well I could just take a picture, and then you would get very high resolution". Then I asked for the RAW instead, and it dawned on me, I could just take pictures of the pages (its a scrap book my grandma did, and there are notes all over it...anyways).
So we got to talking and I told her I used to do weddings, but I moved here and with my new job, I dont have time to meet the clients, scout the weddings, process the photos, do the albums, etc etc.
Buttttt she was looking for a second photograper, which is perfect, I show up that day, shoot, she hands me a wad of cash and I am done! I am doing a trial run in two months to see how we work together.
Our school does have some ties to a school out in Chicago. The head of our school worked a lot with some of them over there back in the day. I would have to assume that they're pretty strict about what students get into their clinics. Have to pass about the same amount of stuff that I did just to get into the clinic with paying costumers. I'll poke around and see if there's one you should try over there.
I have been meaning to look at sports therapy clinic type places. Because that is really the kind of massage I need, not one of those dainty spa type massages.
What's worse is that you could find one you like, but find out after the fact that they are sleaze-bags. Happened to a friend of mine (Nick). Dude took the pictures, the money, and then disappeared. They ended up getting state authorities involved; their saga made the news.
Another reason I started doing weddings. I think the final straw for me caving into to doing weddings, was one friend wedding where the photographer was skievy, totally over charaged here, and my photos with me trashed off my *** were miles away better than her wedding photographers.
I actually have three friends, that before I started offically doing weddings I would just show up with my camera. All three of them, their weddings albums are my photos not their wedding photographers. One was so bad, the photographer ended up printing my photos at no charage for the couple. They all paid in the $2000-$2,500 dollar range. Which is the scary price range for wedding photographers. There are some great ones, but unfortuantly more bad ones.
My sweat's sweat was sweating today.
Yeah it is so humid here the air is sweating.
Yup - I took 4 classes there in January and they were really great (very impressed with the professors, not so much with the TAs). One of the profs actually wrote my recommendation letter for graduate school (well one of the letters).
I started my MBA at UMass Boston, had an assistantship and everything. It is not a bad school.
Ok the image of you flaping your arms at a flying rat is kind of amusing. Sorry.
