Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 116: Who's to blame for the lack of a new thread this morning?

My sister has been complaining about being very bored at my parents place, so she decided to come up here for the night and go out drinking with me. I have no idea where we're going but I'm thinking she wants to go to gastof's. Anyone else want to go out for some drinks tonight?

Yes. Yes, I do.

:(

I'll pass. It's getting to nut-cuttin' time for that wedding/vacation, and I figure every extra dollar I can save now is one more dollar I can spend then. Well, honestly, I'll spend it anyway, but still... :)

Not this one. This wedding is gonna be a beautiful trainwreck. And it's also a vacation, as I'm spending a couple extra days in Madison.

You know, I typically respect what you say, but I have to greatly question you here...

It's not my choice that the wedding is in Madison. So I'm making the best of it. He's coming here the previous weekend for the bach party, and then we're driving out there to pick up his fiancee at the airport. Plus, there's a chance I can catch up with some people I know who also live out there.

Speaking of Stop & Shop, is it me or does their milk go bad quicker than expected? I've had 2 gallons now go sour in the fridge before their 'due date'. Yes, I know opening them speeds up the process, but it's really rare that I have had milk turn before the date on the bottle. (as a comparison, the bottle of milk Rob brought home from NC, that had been on ice instead of in a fridge was still good on it's exp date)

Good luck and have fun!
Are you getting light-block containers? tcbg and I will almost always buy Hood milk because they have white plastic (as opposed to clear), which seems to make the milk last longer. I've had decent luck with their milk (of course, I drink about a gallon a week on my own, which is awesome when you have IBS. :o
I bought the buffalo and lentils at Lakeshore Natural Health; the lady who runs the store is pretty nice and gave me more information about iron than Walgreens or the doctor's office ever thought to. Essentially told me to take iron and to get more B vitamins into my diet, and that beef was the best way to go about it.

As for going back to school, I'm going back to earn a certificate in Occupational Therapy.
Ah - we checked for it in the S&S here and it's 5$/lb, which isn't bad actually, less than I thought it would be. We opted for ground turkey though, turkey tacos with homemade guac and some fixins.

Ooh - sounds good. Are you getting a full-degree? If not, how much can you do with a certificate?

:( This doesn't sound good - hope things are going to be okay... :(

Well, we spent the afternoon cleaning. I scrubbed the entire kitchen floor (okay, 3/4 of the floor) with a heavy ammonia solution ... hello, headache. :( But the floor looks great!! :) Now it's dinner-time and then I was promised an ice cream sundae at Blakes! :)

Eins!....zwei!...drei! "Ein" is "a," "Eins" is one. "Svei" is close, but it's actually with a "z" at the start, which makes a "ts" sound.

I could go for a drink. No, I could go for many drinks. I might make a run. It's been a while.

I'd go out to drink, but I have people coming over to divvy up my mom's Christmas decorations tomorrow and I have to clean....which I've been avoiding all day. My mom has some 11 huge bins of stuff she used to cover over every available surface. I hated it. Too much clutter.

Well, although I think it's only in the Midwest, I've never had a prob with the milk from Rainbow (Kemp's/Roundy's; hint, they both come from the same dairy).

I was going from memory, and I don't speak German. :o

Blame Brent. I copy/pasted his IM. If I had really come up with that, I would have asked my German speaking boyfriend.

That's a lovely feeling in your stomach, isn't it? I haven't had a glass of milk since about Feb 2009 and I've had much less difficulty with my stomach (knock on wood). At that time I also cut about 10 pounds, something else I wanted to do.

Cheese? Fine. Ice cream? Usually. Milk? Forget about it. We fight.

I always try to get Polka Dot, its the best tasting milk, and its sold by a small creamery in Hastings, not a huge company like Kemps. Usually you find it in small stores or gas stations not in big grocery stores. Right now I have some generic crap from Target and its not that good.

Jilbert's. All the way. Though my future roommate and I may come to odds over this...

Oh, boy. I feel a full blown SENANICANS coming on. I know this because of how slowly I had to type to make this post both grammatically correct and spelled correctly. Oh, boy.
