See, you should take Wednesdays off. Then you turn Tuesdays into Fridays!

Yeah, Thursdays become Mondays, but who the eff gives a rat's arse about Thursdays? Thursdays suck like one of those shows FOX always used to jam in between The Simpsons and The X-Files. Not exactly awful, but nothing worth noting, most of the time. Thursdays just get in the way of Fridays. Becoming Mondays is a fitting punishment for those cock-blockers.





And yes, in that last sentence, Friday/the weekend was the hot chick, and any given worker was the dude trying to bang her. Yeah, I know some of you might be female (even though we all know that oft-quote axiom about women and the internet), but I don't know the female equivalent of cock-blocking, so you're all going to have to suck it up (not literally) and deal with the metaphor.

There's about to be a big nurses strike in MN early next month.

I'd like to know what the **** the unions are thinking - they're unlikely to get much sympathy going on strike in this economy.

Thursdays are to me what Tuesdays seem to be to Scarlet.
And I think it's still cock-blocking in our case, too, but I can't be sure.

I agree with Scarlet. My shifts that end on Tuesday morning pretty much always suck (last night being no exception to this).

Meanwhile I had to force down my half of a turkey club (which was hardly a "club" sandwich - two pieces of bread, bacon, avocado, turkey, there might have been cheese, and sprouts) and a few sweet potato fries. I did manage to get down 2 Whale's Tales Pale Ales though.

Hey, when I get really hungry, watch out. I wouldn't recommend even trying to touch the food in front of me, you might lose a finger.:o

That sounds like my day. I made it through half of a sandwich at lunch, and had about 5 bites of pasta for dinner. No appetite. :(

Is this going to interfere with your lust life at work? :eek: ;)

Also, I have sympathy for any regular group of workers (i.e. not sports figures) trying to get paid whats fair. Whether thats more money or more benefits and regardless of the national economic outlook.

Morning Lodge. Getting our technicians checked in as they return trucks. Because of the lack of work, and union solidarity rules to not cross picket lines, we have to lay off all our techs. :(

I can't WAIT until later this afternoon when we go park the trucks at the neighboring construction company; picket lines are already up, and they don't care that I (or whoever else goes with to securely park them) aren't in the Union.


Basically, three years ago the Union took it up the * and conceded all their points just to continue working. Now, with over three years of no cost of living increases, increased health care costs, and other changes, the Owners are again saying they won't give any more to the Union. That's the impasse.

My grandmother lives in a part of Saginaw, MI that is rapidly becoming pretty nasty. We've tried to get her out, but she's too strong-willed and wants to live on her own.

Today, the dam broke.

Two teenage girls broke into her house, threatened her with her cane, threw her into a chair next to the door, then ransacked her house. They made a call from her phone, then ripped it out of the wall. They tried to take her ring off her finger, but couldn't get it, so they told her "we'll be back for you tonight." All of this happened IN BROAD DAYLIGHT.

Needless to say, she's not going back to that house.

YOU DO NOT **** WITH TWITCH'S FAMILY. PERIOD. If I would have been there I would have done something I'd regret later.
