If he tries the same, "why so unhappy" schtick he did on the PC thread, you'll eat him for lunch.

Tech fans seem harsher on their players than PC fans.

We'll bait him into a "fire Russell" flamewar. Then we'll embed 13894745973425 sound files into the page and make his head asplode.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 115: What sports do you watch in the off-season?

Wife called me at 8:15 AM with the news that the car went dead when she tried to start it. Not even an attempt to turn over. Called AAA and arranged to meet the tow truck at noon, arranged with a garage to bring it in. Assumed some serious electrical malfunction to go from normal last night to nothing this AM. AAA truck driver showed up and jumped it with ease, dead battery.:o Now waiting for AAA battery service to show up. Need to get some value from the AAA membership besides free maps.
Yep, I've had the same thing happen. Drove my car home on the first really hot day of summer, parked it. Went out 10 minutes later to go get some dinner and the battery was dead. Turns out the first really hot day can kill a weak battery as well as the first really cold day. :o

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 115: What sports do you watch in the off-season?

So, this morning, I had my first real sunshine through the clouds moment. Called Sallie Mae, as they told me there would be a decision available today when I called last week. The lady I talked to said that the loan was approved, just needed to e-sign the final agreement.
Well, went online to do so (after attending classes), and wasn't able to. Called back, and was told that my loan wasn't really approved, they hadn't even made a decision yet. So, tore into the person I was talking to, and he put in a rush request on the decision. :/

Was about to just say eff it and give up, but We Will Rock You came on Pandora, so I decided to stay tough at least a little longer.

Hi, Lodge. It was quite the weekend. I had fun, but all I'm saying is that the next wedding I'm in better be my own.

.:D

Glad you had a good time and made it back safely.

And thanks again for the KBC. It wasn't necessary at all, but it sure tastes good! :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 115: What sports do you watch in the off-season?

He's arguing with everyone about their own players. I'm starting to think he's one of the writers here on the site who enjoys needling everyone.

Someone get in touch with Trefzger. ;)

Would you be surprised if I told you he really is the parent of a hockey player?

He was one of the donors I collected for The 24 Bowl, and had to give his full name and address. His son will be a freshman this coming season.

So, I think his claims of meeting people/seeing kids develop is true, but I think he overestimates his own hockey knowledge, and when pressed lashes out against people (and yes, probably enjoys it).

My biggest problem with him is not so much the content of his posts, but the construction thereof. He uses such poor grammar, and drops so many words from his posts that his sentences tend to run-on and encompass not just one, but two or three entirely incomplete and incoherent thoughts. I tried to read some of the RPI thread in question (I will admit to taking pleasure in seeing Red Cloud rip into people who deserve it), and I needed a translator to figure what he (hokydad) was talking about.

Thanks! And thanks again for letting us stay there Thursday. Sorry there wasn't more time to visit.

Why would you want to get married?

Presents. Duh.

But, yeah: 88 degrees + sun + long, full skirted, dark blue dress - air conditioning = not so much fun. There was a DQ across the street from the reception hall, and at one point FM and I actually went over there and got slushies in an attempt to cool down. (Plus, the drinks were so weak we may as well have been drinking juice/sugar water anyway).

True, and we have considered it. I think we are worried that one dog's barking will trigger the other's collar which really wouldn't be helpful.
We used them on two dogs a few years back and never had any problems with that.

Would you be surprised if I told you he really is the parent of a hockey player?

His son will be a freshman this coming season.
Where?

If it's any consolation, I saw one of the pictures you were tagged in on FB, and you looked very purdy. :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 115: What sports do you watch in the off-season?

this is the reason I am inviting every relative I know. I know they won't show up, but they will send presents.

You're welcome. :)

Mooch.

It's a perfectly valid strategy.

Trying to not give diva a big head, but yep.

cbg- And let's not forget the unjust dismissal of PC91...

This information actually makes him a worse poster. If he was someone dicking around and "beer-ing" everyone, then he'd be doing an outstanding job.

Instead, he's a mouthy arsehole that inserts himself into everyone else's business claiming to be the paragon of knowledge.

F-ck him.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 115: What sports do you watch in the off-season?

I am amazed at how quickly Telemarketers pick up on a new phone number. We've had the phone for three days and I got our first telemarketing call. It was for the New York Daily News. That has to be one of the last papers in this area that I would subscribe to. I think I'd get the Boston Herald first. The irritating part is that I told the first woman who called that we were not interested, but thank you for calling. Another woman from the same company called two hours later. Um, hello, did you really think I'd change my mind in two hours?!?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 115: What sports do you watch in the off-season?

hooker, it's the last time my relatives are going to give me presents for the rest of my life, so yes, I will mooch off of them.

Just giving you a hard time, I don't like when people bet against me. ;)
Anywho, I know what you're saying, I had a graduation party for a freakin' reason.
