Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 113: Whutchu talkin' about, Meyer?

You and me, both. :)
I don't think that's too far out of the way. Probably a nice jaunt down M-59. We've got the space, if you don't mind the mess. I'm working on getting things ready for a garage/yard sale and for an eventual move.

OK, neat. I'll let you know when it gets closer. We'd probably get in pretty late on Thursday night and then leave when we can check in on Friday. Thanks :)

There's a blast from my past: my brother and I used to bikeride across M-59 to get to Food Town in Hartland (or was it Matthew's pharmacy?) and buy Star Wars cards when we were kids. Back when Bubble Yum was the new and exciting product, and only a quarter a pack.
His eyes(and his height) might be a problem but he already wants to go to a service academy:) , not sure he'll have the grades though?
I should probably know this, but 5'4" to 6'4" is the usual guideline for USAF pilot height, although sitting height is also important. I also know that exceptions to the 5'4"-6'4" guideline tend to be taller than 6'4".

Math and science grades are seen as more important for success here at USAFA than others, although the combined GPA is still expected to be up there.

He's 6'3" so there is still hope:D . He needs a shoe horn to get in a Cessna 150

Well, for those of you who played doctor with me last night (cue the peanut gallery), I have pneumonia, and was prescribed an antibiotic and an inhaler. If I get worse, I'll need to go and get a chest x-ray and maybe stay a day at our lovely hospital for fluids and whatnot.

Yikes; get well soon!

Afternoon, Lodge. The splint is finally off my arm! However, the doctor had to put more steri-strips on the wound and he wants to see me again in one week.

I may be looking at another 3-day weekend. We'll see.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 113: Whutchu talkin' about, Meyer?

I am alive. :) (Well, the doctor did say that the test misses things 10% of the time.)
Good to hear that everything is well. :)

Good luck! :)

Have you had any issues with eyeballing (kids "drinking" vodka through their eyes for a quicker buzz? We saw a video and read about kids doing it...article

Nice!!

Morning, Lodge. Enjoyed the long weekend with tcbg. We went to the beach, went jogging, played Trivial Pursuit and Phase 10, and grilled a lot. :) Just relaxing this morning before I go for a jog this afternoon.
Not yet. Talk about stupid!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 113: Whutchu talkin' about, Meyer?

evening lodge. Saw two of my friends get married today. Beautiful ceremony in a Greek Orthodox fashion. I was an usher and Quiz was a bridesmaid. I looked at her and wondered seriously how lucky I am.

Also, I roped Bakunin into helping pass out programs, since the other usher was a complete useless blob. And of course, about 4 times this weekend, I said to Bakunin that I don't know what to do.

BolderBoulder tomorrow morning. 10K. Wish me luck!
He probably only did it do that he could put out feelers for the single ladies that would be easy after the reception. ;)

I'm pretty sure the doctor might have mentioned something to you if you weren't (alive). :p

Get plenty of rest and hope you feel better soon.
Maybe Ralph was too busy eating his Brains for the doctor to tell him that. ;)

Mmmmmm...... Braaaiiinnnssss!!!!!

Lack of energy in food poisoning aftermath = no pursuing of opportunities.

There weren't many single women at the reception; I think I counted 1-2 tops.

Good evening Lodge.

Back from camping. I need a break. :)

pretty sure that's what caused William Henry Harrison to croak.

the chick that you were hitting on and the Jewish bridesmaid. That's it.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 113: Whutchu talkin' about, Meyer?

Yeah, it was a pretty depressing situation all around.

I would have hooked you up with the bridesmaid...she's really nice actually. Decently stacked. Witty. And she would make fun of Brent.

You still can. That's obviously not the last time I'll be in Denver (assuming she lives there). :p
