Yep - some cars are iconic in red (Ferraris), but there's a whole spectrum of colors even without getting into two-tone and different paint treatments. Sometimes red looks great, sometimes gold, sometimes flat black on a rat rod, and sometimes strange colors (we had a brown SAAB - it actually looked good, in a very Scandinavian way.)

Speaking of which, I just remembered: saw a yellow Lambo Diablo on Thu, coming home from work.

It was on Hopkins Crossroads just north of 394. It was bee-ah-you-tee-full.

One of the last truly pretty Lambos. The Murcielago just looks too overweight to me.

The Gallardo is ****, though, especially the LP560 and onward.

They just had a news story of an abduction in Stafford, VA... they showed the license plate number... they said it belonged to a home in Providence, RI... why couldn't they give us the name of the owner?!?!?!?!? Wouldn't that be, maybe, slightly relevant.

It wasn't really an abduction so...

Good morning, Lodge. Went for a 20 minute run this morning in fantastic weather, prepared a lemon-pepper marinade for pork chops later tonight, and already made my sandwich for lunch today. It's going to be a good day.

So now that we've discussed manual vs auto and green vs yellow, what's our next car topic to beat to death, sunroof vs moonroof? ;)

Morning Lodge. Bought CHA's tickets for the Twin's game tonight. Good thing as it'll be a while before I'll want to get jostled in the crowds after my arm gets put in the sling tomorrow. Thanks CHA!

What cars are chick cars, of course. Del Sol? Chick car. New Beetle? Chick car. Old Beetle? Not a chick car. Mitsubishi Eclipse? Not a chick car.

'Morning y'all!
It is supposed to be a beautiful day here in 704 land. It's also a happy and a sad one for me & my husband (I need to come up with a nickname for him -- and before you ask, no Mr. Legal won't work). Anyway, our friends are holding a going away party/baby shower for us today. I am really touched that we have such good friends, leaving them is the hardest part about moving.

OTOH, I can't wait until I can see my family and northern friends without planning a trip months in advance!

True, that is a problem. However, as I said, I didn't have color ranked that high. FTR, bought my '99 Wrangler in '01. Had the things I needed/wanted: soft-top, full steel doors rather than the half-doors, automatic (shuddup), obviously the round headlights (I'm very obsessive about that one on Wranglers), good physical condition, and low mileage (this one had <20K on it).
One of my dream cars, since I was in high school, is a yellow Jeep Wrangler, soft top. (with the round headlights, of course. Brent is right about them)

There just seems to be something painfully wrong about a yellow car/truck/van unless its a convertible owned by a beautiful girl ages between mid-20s to mid-30s.
Disagree. Someday I'm going to have a yellow car or jeep.

We're not speaking ill of the car - it'd look great with a beautiful girl aged between mid-20s to mid-30s driving it. :p Banana yellow should stay on bananas, otherwise.

I am partial to, for lack of a better name, this color (Michigan Tech, Minnesota, etc. athletic gold, or safety yellow). Looks dam fine on a muscle car when set off against black, silver, copper or red.
Sweet color, I would love to have a Mustang in that color.

Do you really think it's a good idea to bring Star Trek into something involving a Techie...even if it is bbdl?
Hey even some cute girls like Star Trek (and Patrick Stewart)

Have fun! Good luck tomorrow, I hope everything goes smoothly!

I used to love the Mitsubishi Eclipse. The curves on that car were awesome. But I am not your typical girl when it comes to cars (or guys for that matter).

Girlie cars: Mazda Miata (unless it retrofitted for racing); Honda S2000, new bug, Del Sol, Toyota MR2.

Guy cars: any muscle car, F350 Super Duty.... and I'm drawing a blank right now.

Can go either way: Jeep Wrangler.
