Yes. I am still recovering from lack of sleep while camping and I have been helping out my friend who has cancer with yardwork and such. :o

Well, fine, use cancer as an excuse for your slowness. :o

Best of luck to your friend, hopefully he's right and it really is a minor setback.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 113: Whutchu talkin' about, Meyer?

The difficult thing about this situation is that I think (along with many others) that the cancer spreading to the brain and the spine is a bad thing. My friend and his immediate family are very positive and optimistic that this is a minor setback.
First off, my thoughts for the best to your friend.

Having that type of positive outlook is sometimes a necessary way of dealing with the situation. Everyone is different, and I have no idea how I would handle something like that. I mean I about gave up when I was first diagnosed with emphysema.

Thanks. The only real cool thing about this situation (in a very selfish sort of way) is that my friend who has cancer has a friend who is an anchor for one of the local TV stations in cityslickerville. I have formed a friendship with him/her over the last couple months and this person is an awesome individual who has done a couple really cool things for little g. It is odd how life tends to bring people together whose paths would have never crossed otherwise.

Woot! Got my external hard drive (formatted for NTFS) to work on my Mac! No more transferring files via the company network from my work Mac to my work PC. I'm kinda excited about this.

I don't know know what the rest of you dirty pigs are referring to.
Really? And you're how old? :p ;)

Wow, no participating stores in New England. A couple in PA...

EDIT: Dunkin Donuts is participating as well, but you have to buy a beverage. Maybe I'll get a coffee on the way in to work...

Do "they" know about the Speedo? :p

No but I am trying to get the nerve to ask "it" if they would sign it. :p

This person is busy as they are currently in Denver doing an investigative report on an individual whose spouse is in Chicago with college friends. The title of the report? "People who are addicited to the palm pilot while their spouse is away". (If you know what I mean.) :D

Not sure if ASaaG is a palm user or not.
I can see him being more elaborate, ala George Clooney's character in "Burn After Reading"

Got the workshop all to yourself for a few days Shot? :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 113: Whutchu talkin' about, Meyer?

Your first gray hair is just a few years away, youngin.
False!

I have good genetics. My dad has no gray hair and he's turning 48 this year. (actually my dad looks like he's about 30, we get mistaken for brothers regularly)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 113: Whutchu talkin' about, Meyer?

I see someone has not taken genetics (your father is but 1/2 the genetic equation - you've gotten genes from your mom as well). :p

Obviously.

I resemble my father in just about every way I can think of, hopefully in this case, that continues.

...and the hair genes (at least in terms of baldness) come from your mom's side (if your mom's dad is bald, you're f*ed.) Not sure about graying.

Everyone on my mom's side has their hair. I should be good there.

Not sure about my grandpa, but my uncle on Mom's side has a full head of hair at age 60-something. I'm probably okay... already finding gray hairs though. :o

People used to say that, but I don't know how true it actually is. At least I didn't get my dad's hair pattern. :D

Are you sure about that? He was bald quite young, and I am not. I know that I inherited colorblindness from him.

also his gold pocket watch ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 113: Whutchu talkin' about, Meyer?

I got my dads hair, his looks, his build, his temper and pretty near everything else except for brains, not sure what happened there:D
