No. I do too but not like the boys.

"Not like the boys" - how do you know how the boys think of 'Ewe's cupcakes? :p :D

I am happy for the couple, but a themed wedding and the hubby throwing a hissy fit because he has to wear a renaissance costume that he had to rent is a bit overload for me.

On the upside...Burn Notice starts tonight!

I dress up in funny historical clothes for a living, and I enjoy my job. But, there's a difference between finding your job enjoyable and also dressing in funny clothes, and choosing to commemorate the most important day of your life in those same funny clothes.

Burn Notice is quality though - haven't seen hardly any of it though past midway through the first season, eventually I'll catch up with it on Netflix.

Morning, Lodge. I'm enjoying the hell out of my last day off before 7 days on, by sleeping. :o

Mr. wore Black is leaving to go to Detroit Lakes for a wedding he is in. Wooohooo! I am glad I am working so I don't have to witness that disaster. I am happy for the couple, but a themed wedding and the hubby throwing a hissy fit because he has to wear a renaissance costume that he had to rent is a bit overload for me.
We had an inadvertent themed wedding: the Blue and the Gray. Billy Yank on my side of the aisle and Johnny Reb on my wife's. Things were tense with my in-laws for about the first two years (mainly because I was taking their only daughter out of state), but now he's truly my second dad.

Do you think les is new here??

I love Burn Notice. Did I mention I met Jeffrey Donovan at the Red Sox game last year? He was pretty awesome - very friendly and appreciative of my fandom. :) Looking forward to the season premiere, along with Royal Pains, tonight. Though if my headache sticks around, I may have to watch it on the DVR. I don't feel well so I may go home early.

ANOTHER very good friend of mine has been fighting cancer since December. The cancer was in his left hip and things were looking OK. He was rushed to Mayo last week and the cancer has spread to the lining of the brain and it is in his spinal fluid. IF you feel so inclined please say a prayer for him and his loved ones. :(
Done. :(

I'm looking for an excuse to make car bomb cupcakes.

I make a great Guinness cake, but it's 4 layers tall; I can't imagine how many cupcakes that would make.
Sounds tempting... now I should make my way to MN for the F4 next year.

Morning, Lodge. Went to the farmer's market this morning; picked up some apricot jam, green onions, two huge beefsteak tomatoes, and got a free stalk of rhubarb. I think later today, I'll make Giada's apricot oat bars...

I, unfortunately have to work tonight so I won't get to see either. Thank God for On Demand. :)

'Morning all! As usual there is a cat sitting on my desk right in front of the monitor. I have to look around her to see what I am typing. Typical cat, has to be the center of attention. I think they are the only creatures that can rival a teen age girl's need for attention. :o Of course, unlike the teen age girl, they can actually get enough attention and will leave you alone for a few hours. :p

I think at least 2 people would say in this context, that yes it is wrong. :D
Make it three. Sorry, this is my brother's gf we're talking about. :)

So halve the recipe, or borrow some of my cupcake pans. :)

FF next year. Epic.

Dude, you should have been planning on going anyway.

The ONLY reason I'm not going is the new baby will need me at home.

The few times I've seen Burn Notice, I've enjoyed it. Royal Pains doesn't do it for me, though. What I'm really waiting for is July 13th and the return of White Collar.

Morning Lodge,

Going to take the dressing off and catheter out today so I can shower finally!

And gmann's post reminds me just how minor my little deal really is in the big scheme of things. Can't feel sorry for myself over a few stitches when his friend is facing that. :(

Morning Lodge.

I for one enjoy cupcakes, as in the simple frosted pastry that they are. I don't know know what the rest of you dirty pigs are referring to.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 113: Whutchu talkin' about, Meyer?

 Hmmm.

Just took my wife and two of her friends to the airport so they could catch a flight to a college reunion with some of their pals in Chicago for four days.

Hmmm. Now the fun begins. :D

So that is what the old folks are calling it these days.

The difficult thing about this situation is that I think (along with many others) that the cancer spreading to the brain and the spine is a bad thing. My friend and his immediate family are very positive and optimistic that this is a minor setback.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 113: Whutchu talkin' about, Meyer?

A bit slow on the draw today, gmann? ;)

Yes. I am still recovering from lack of sleep while camping and I have been helping out my friend who has cancer with yardwork and such. :o
