Congrats to HN. (Thanks for explaining who he is. He's a western fan who doesn't belong to tLodge, so I don't know him. :D )

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #112: Son of "Filling in for the night shift"

Great to hear melmac!! Is this the Ohio job? Are you moving??
Yes, it is the Ohio job. North Baltimore. We'll be moving at some point, but we'll have to sort all that out.

Congrats HuskyNation, Mel is it with his new degree or old one?
Yes. :) But it came about because of the old one.

It's a Quality Engineering position. He got a message from a former classmate/co-worker of his that a mutual friend knew of a couple of openings at his company. HN contacted the friend, sent off a resume last week, interviewed yesterday, got the offer today.

Life's going to be crazy for a bit, but we'll take it!

Good news on the job for HN there Mel... But isn't north Baltimore in wTHottie country?!? :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #112: Son of "Filling in for the night shift"

Greetings from Fenway. What a gorgeous night for a game. There's lots of Twins fans here tonight. 1-2-3 for Lester. Sox coming up to bat.

Since it's just me here tonight, I think I'll provide you all with my play by play.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #112: Son of "Filling in for the night shift"

Pedroia the Destroya weakly pops out to the shortstop. Macdonald (?) On first with a lead off walk. VMart comes up to bat. His music is a festive Latin number. I like it. They should keep it on his entire at bat.

VMart lines a shot to right. Boo. Two outs. Up comes Yoooooooooook. He is not an attractive man.

Hey look! Tampa Bay is beating the Yankees 3-0 in the first.

Ooooooh. Sports bars. Maybe I'll get one....yay! Macdonald just stole 2nd. Too bad Youk strands him there, striking out.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #112: Son of "Filling in for the night shift"

Justin Morneau leads off the top of the 2nd. A lone Twins fan in my section stands to clap. Wow he's batting .365! However he just struck out.

Cuddyer up. Cuddyer down. Another K for Lester. Jason Kubel up now. Isn't that a Jewish dessert? What am I thinking of? Whatever. He grounds out. A 1-2-3 inning for Lester.

He's leading the league in batting avg and slugging pct - continuing his trend of kicking *** early in the season and sucking *** late (his September numbers are god awful).

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #112: Son of "Filling in for the night shift"

Hey! Mike Lowell in the line up over Ortiz. And does nothing sadly. But Beltre hits one into the Sox bullpen. 1-0 Sox.

JD Drew up and I was typing so I missed whatever he did he was out that fast. Now Bill Hall is up. Um, where did he come from? I know he's been playing a while but I have no idea who he is. Whatever, he does nothing, inning over.

Today's This Day in Fenway History was from 1919. Babe Ruth hit a grand slam and was the winning pitcher.

Delmon Young up to lead off the 3rd. Grounds out to short. Brendan Harris up. He wears his socks up to his knees. They look like black knee his. ****, there goes the no hitter. He singles. Nick Punto is nice enough to ground into a double play. Thanks Nick!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #112: Son of "Filling in for the night shift"

the Robert Morris College gamer i bought from the team arrived yesterday. they gave me Josh Jones' #8, home white. nice.

Scarlet's sober streams of consciousness are as good as her drunk ones...the only difference seems to be better spelling.
