Good morning. Springtime in the Rockies continues. The weather has "improved" from yesterday's scattered snow flurries to an uninviting, gray, damp day with temps alleged to be heading to the low 50s.
On the optimistic side of things the temps are supposed to reach the the low 70s by Sunday, beginning a run of seven or eight consecutive days in the 70s. Golf weather returns.
One last note. As a lifelong Montreal fan I must add===> how 'bout them Habs! First Washington and then Pittsburgh. When the playoffs began my hope was that Montreal wouldn't be swept by the Capitals. I never saw this current success coming. I'm encouraged about Montreal's future by how well Jaroslav Halak is playing in goal and the unexpected proficiency of the team's offense.
I grew up in the era of the NHL as a six team operation. Just for the sake of discussion, if Boston wins game seven versus Philadelphia on Friday, Boston, Montreal and Chicago [three of the Original Six] would be in the conference finals. I don't remember the last time three of the final four teams were Original Six franchises.
Hang in there LODGEONIANS as the weekend is in sight.
